Nord stream pipelines sabotaged

Post by Cornfed »

There was supposed to be a major happening yesterday as the end of a Shmita year and maybe this was it. Both nord stream pipelines were apparently sabotaged, presumably by the evil Washington regime with the motivation of destroying Europe to save the US dollar.

Leaks were found under the Sea between Bornholm (a small island which belongs to Denmark) southeast in direction to Poland - no idea what happened.
In EU so far nobody is blaming anybody for that.
Swedish national seismic network recorded two underwater explosions, similar to an earthquake magnitude-2.3.

This is a serious issue for the Baltic Pipe, a new system that will bring Norway’s gas across Denmark and the Baltic Sea to Poland, which at one point crosses paths with both Nord Stream pipelines.

Surely this should lead to an international effort to bring the evil Washington regime criminals to justice. It is a major atrocity by the against not only Russia and Germany, but the world in general.

Remember how many times a false flag accident was used to start a war? I am no history expert but can count at least a dozen, in the past two centuries alone.

They will blame the Ruskies. This winter, Europe will be plunged in a f*cking freezing recession the likes of which recent generations have never experienced. While energy companies rake up the billions (and unelected politicians pretend that "there's no solution" while getting tens of millions in kickbacks), they will blame the Ruskies.

After that, there will no way back, and no way forward, either.

Here is Biden basically admitting in advance that they planned to sabotage nord stream.

Here is an article from February explaining why.

Why do you think so? Both nord stream pipelines were not supposed to operate or fully operate this coming winter anyway.

I would say it will be Russia which will face severe economic problems during the coming winter.

Russia declared Japan to be a hostile country and suspended all energy export - coal and Oil - to Japan, it was about 15 percent of all energy Japan needs for its daily routine to operate.

It did not take long, ony a few weeks and other countries offered to assist Japan and to replace the missing imports from Russia. For example Australia, which is already exporting about 2/3 of Japan's coal, offered to increase the shipping of coal, various other countries showed up with offers to deliver petroleum related products etc.

The same will happen now in Europe. - There are countries, and not so few, willing to replace Russian energy exports to Europe.

Economically I think Russia will be bad off this coming winter with its Ukrainian war.... plenty of deaths, high loss of military related goods and vehicles etc., while no NATO soldier lost his life so far. Russian young men just running away to other countries. Russia has plenty of energy reserves, but nobody really willing to buy that (expect countries like India or China but do not expect them to pay a good price for that...)

We will see.

About these 2 pipelines, no idea who did this and why - but it is maybe not a bad idea for EU to become independent from Russian imports in the future.

Russians cut off gas flow to Europe earlier, now they blew up these pipelines right before winter, so Europe has to surrender their support for Ukraine. This forum has too many right wing ignorant people. Russia is an evil regime. Talk to any new Russian immigrants. I know one family that moved to the U.S. They are saying they "evacuated" Russia as fast as they could two years ago. Russia is run by a corrupt thug regime. Now Russia is pushing their own men into a slaughterhouse without even providing them with ammo or clothes.

What is their motivation to blow up their own pipeline when they can just shut it down at will? Previously they had leverage in that they could supply gas or not as they chose. Now they have no leverage in that the supply remains shut off no matter what they want. Hence Europe has no incentive to surrender their support for Ukraine, since they are not getting the gas anyway. What you say makes no sense on the face of it. Perhaps you could explain.

Exactly. However, given how stupid the Russians have been conducting this war from day 1, miscommunication between elements in Russian government and mistaken sabotage can't be ruled out. But the more obvious explanation is that some outside government wants to forcibly and permanently (until the pipeline is fixed) stop Russian gas flow to Germany: USA, Ukraine, Britain, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia are the obvious suspects. Probably USA gave the order, since none of the other listed governments would dare cross the USA at this time, but one of those other governments might have actually done the deed after receiving USA orders.

It could also be rogue private (non government) elements. Baltic sea is not deep and so ordinary scupa diver could do the job with ordinary plastic explosives. Maybe Mafia types made a big bet on the financial markets that will pay off because of higher gas prices.

You would think this would be the major issue of our time. If the evil Washington regime is able to blow up key global infrastructure and get away with it then we simply can't have a global economy. Every person in any way tapped into the global economy, which is the vast majority of the world's 8 billion people, is personally threatened by these bastard criminals. It is a matter of critical importance to execute absolutely everyone involved. There should be a target of at least a million executions over this. If not that many people can be directly linked to it then just start executing military officers, politicians, bureaucrats, diplomats and their families.

I might be wrong, but Russians will probably face a tough winter with far more stoicism than us in Europe.

Exactly, there are plenty of countries, starting from the US and their LPG tankers, who "would kill" to sell Europe their gas, obviously at a 30 to 100% premium compared to Russian gas. After all, they do have to ship that stuff over to use by sea.

I don't know. The so-called Ukranian counterstrike might have caused a setback on the Russian side. Yet, as I read on some non-mainstream commentaries from specialised, unbiased academic scholars, the price the Ukranian army paid is far higher. They lost far more soldiers (in percentage to their army) than the Russians. As well as gas, this winter may well see Ukraine run out of men and ammunition. After that, since they can't replace their men fast enough, Ukraine will have no other choice than beg for a direct military intervention from Europe. At that point, it will be full-blow WW3.

A demand neither Europe, nor America, will give into as it would be foolish. It seems more likely that the West is hoping for Russia to collapse before Ukraine does. It's a gamble, but they continue to heavily supply Ukraine with arms until either Russia or Ukraine is unable to fight on. The media stokes up the whole "social unrest in Russia" angle, and it is true that a ton of highly educated Russians have fled the country, which isn't positive for Russia. Weakening a country isn't the same as full-on collapsing it, though. And logistically speaking, with three times the population of Ukraine, Russia simply has more manpower. Putin also appears to be rather firmly in the saddle in spite of setbacks. He's a master of staying alive at all costs.
All correct. I think the Nato guys are perhaps busking in the delusion that Putin didn't notice that this is the biggest war by proxy ever fought. Ukraine is being given billions over billions of fresh cash from the US and even from the same UK that is running a massive deficit and claim they don't have the money to subsidise heating costs for the poorer of their own.

It's a fantabulous, massive travesty, from start to finish. When Putin says the US and their allies are "an empire of lies", he is not exaggerating.
