Even the job market in Chicagoland is screwed up for men, and a lot of disadvantaged millennial men would have an increasingly difficult time moving out of the area, unless they make money by means of self-employment.

I'm a white American guy in the Chicago suburbs. My neighborhoods that I live and work in are mostly hispanic/Mexican and I go into downtown for the Salsa dance clubs. Part of my family is hispanic and I can speak soft Spanish.

Riz, what is the best way to go after these Chicago hispanic women? Forward and direct? Impress them with my knowledge of Spanish, Latin dance, and my travels to Spain, Mexico, PR or should I just play up my white pedigree to stir up their potential white fever? I know the latter approach works like a charm with Asian women, while talking to them about Asian stuff could actually hurt my chances (taint me with the yellow fever tag). Riz, as a black man, how did you persist and sell yourself to these latin women? Where do you take them for dates that can lead on to some more exciting action? I have a bit of a problem where the suburbs seem to have a limited amount of creative date ideas; then when I meet girls at dance clubs in the city, I have a logistics problem. Often they live in Chi proper or are coming from another suburb and Chicago is such a massive area.

It might be different meeting Chicago Hispanics Than it is meeting Latina girls in El Paso, but they should be easier to meet than the white girls since the Hispanics live in a more sane part of Chicago, and they don't go for the breadstealer guys.

Stay away from all Chicago women regardless of their race and/or color. Approach a Chicago woman and you are playing with a bomb.

I don't know you about you, but I live right off the Pink and Green trains. I jump on the Pink train @ Ashland Station and badd-damn I'm in CIcero in 20 minutes flat.
That Ashland station is in a terrible neighborhood! The Green Line goes through all bad neighborhoods for it's entire north-south length, and more endless bad neighborhoods from Austin Blvd eastward on it's east-west length. The Pink line is in all bad neighborhoods without a single pocket of safety.
I hang out at the Cicero Public Library because the Chi-Mexicans are cool there and mind their business and don't f.uck with me.
The Cicero Public Library is also in a very bad neighborhood. That entire general area is ghetto west to Austin Blvd and south to the BNSF train yard.
Even the Chicago Pub. Library in Little
Village is loud-as-hell, but up the street off of Chicago Avenue, the Richard M. Library is full of boisterous, rambunctious N's there. I always bring my laptop with me to the bathroom (and I have to ask for a key to get in and wait a minute before I get that #WTF), emergency or quickie pee-pee in the stall.
Little Village is also an extremely bad area. All the way west to Illinois 50/Cicero Avenue. The Latin Kings are an extremely violent gang that continuously prowls the Little Village neighborhood.
I even was in Forest Park today to mail out a letter at US PO to one of my Colombianas (sweet snailmail letters are romantic for FW in 2015), and I went into Portillo's Diner there, and when I paid with credit card, they made me take out my Passport (any valid ID would do) while I make the purchase. I exhorted, "Forest Park is that f***ing ghetto?" The Black female cashier laughed in amusement.

I eat at all the Mexican restaurants on Cermak there, no problemas, no food poisoning.
Sometimes I work out at Planet Fitness on S Cicero Ave in Cicero by Pizza Patron there.
The entire length of Cermak Road/22nd Street between Austin Blvd in Cicero and the lake shore is all endless bad neighborhoods.
I met a 5'6" 415 lb. White Am SSBBW in Steger two years ago. At 67th Street Red train station, I had taken the CTA bus all the way Calumet City and then transfer to a Pace bus going all the way down there. Sh*t had taken me two hours to get there by Pace bus from the furthest the CTA bus could go!!! And that date was a failure because I wore my dick on my sleeve, but you would think a SSBBW would be amused by that out of desperation and/or honesty. Nope, she turned me down and said she will never date a Brazilian man ever again! Ouch. lol
Forest Park is better, but Maywood does get unsafe, especially at night. The 67th Street Red Line station is totally unsafe as is Calumet City. Also, the CTA itself is totally unsafe due to widespread flash mob attacks. They fire AK-47s and shot guns at passing CTA trains and buses, often causing innumerable injuries and property damage. Sometimes they even cause CTA trains to stall, especially when they hit electrical circuits and short out the tracks, then they swarm like angry hornets and storm in, shooting, robbing, and even killing people on board. And as those mobs are made of people that are known cop killers, many even wanted by the FBI and are considered armed and extremely dangerous by the FBI, even the transit police simply can not provide safety and security anymore on the El system.

I have no problemas in the SW side. Yes Latin Kings are in Little Village, and they don't f**k with me. They do however always spread graffiti murals in the neighborhood though. You are exacerbating SW-Hispanic side of Chicago. I like it over there. You're mistaken what part of the Ashland-Lake area I reside. You're talking about the housing projects that are near the United Center. I deal with those d*ckheads daily because I go there to pick up some cheap eats (I'm laying off the potatoes/french fries at that corner store there...they are so fattening!!!)....they always threaten to shut that store down and to rob him but never do. Sometimes I speak Spanish to the Mexican people whom make my cheap eats (the Indian guy runs the store there...he's an okay dude), and sometimes the Black people start laughing there and try to mimic me. However, I live down the street in Near West End which is 400 percent better. Near West End & West Town are posh warehouse districts that are partially converted music studios and lofts.

Dude, I'm telling you now. The South side/Black American side of town s-u-c-ks; YOU ARE ALSO SPOT-ON WHEN IT COMES TO THERE. I almost got jumped off of 55th/Garfield area over some initiation bullsh.it by a gang, but I kept my mouth shut so that they wouldn't pick up my NY accent or they would have had a ball with me (and likewise if and before I succumb to them).

Oak Park is a great suburb, it's close to the city (can easily take the train or drive into the city) and it's pretty safe (except for the areas close to Austin Blvd.).

The homes in Oak Park are old, and beautifully maintained by the homeowners. I like downtown Oak Park where the mall is located at. You have the movie theater there, restaurants and various stores. Not to far way is the library and Scoville park.

The big trees in Oak Park really give the town some great character. Oak Park is a suburb but it has a good urban vibe to it.

The only neighborhoods of Chicago proper located on the southwest side that are safe/low crime at all are Garfield Ridge, Clearing, and Mount Greenwood.

When you mentioned the 55th/Garfield area, if you mean that area around 55th and South Martin Luther King Drive, just east of the Green Line CTA, that isn't just gang territory, that's also mob territory! Chicago's mobs are tremendously violent; practically as violent as al-Qaeda and ISIS, they consist of even FBI-wanted cop killers, serial killers, hardened rapists, they consist of the kinds of hardened criminals that only attack innocent people.
