I've been saving up on my gap year and I want to go travelling this summer. Time's running out I need to pick a destination fast. I'll be travelling by myself. I'm a 19 year old UK national

I'm looking for a place:

- With a different culture. Not America, Australia, Western Europe etc.
- A place with a relatively low average height (I'm 5'5 and feel tired of being shorter than every guy and most girls surrounding me).
- A place that's pretty traveller friendly and foreigner friendly


My initial plan is to find somewhere (probably a youth hostel) to volunteer in on Workaway.info (so I can have free lodging + meals) and spend my non-volunteering time exploring the city/country.

I don't really know where to start looking. Someone suggested South East Asia. I'll only be going for 4-6 weeks but I'd like to go somewhere that'll give me a decent chance (as a short, white, young male) to hook up with a girl.
