The pleasure of sex isn't lasting. That was my point. It's over once you are no longer capable of feeling anything, because you are a corpse. You may make yourself feel bliss for as long as you have a few breaths left to take, but you create nothing of lasting value. (except perhaps a child who won't have a father)

That depends on how you do it?

Hard to resist commenting.
Good point, but if I were healthy, I think I would try to squeeze in regular sex with my wife during this time, and ask for night after night until I died, amidst all the important stuff. How could you, when you're on a trajectory for the grave, be possibly thinking about momentary pleasures. When you're on your way out the door wouldn't you want to spend your final time doing things that will make a lasting difference?

I agree with @Outcast9428.Outcast9428 wrote: ↑May 25th, 2022, 1:16 amI also disagree with sex being a mere momentary/superficial pleasure. Sex is an incredibly blissful experience and the effect it has on your mood is astonishing. If I have three months to live I want to spend it living in bliss with the girl I love.
Also, giving nice women a bunch of intense screaming body-shaking orgasms is a noble act that'll help them lead happier lives from those good memories, long after their initial physical/chemical bliss gradually fades with time, even if I couldn't get out from under the 3-months-to-live time limit myself.

I also don't think our consciousness ends with our physical death, even though I personally don't believe any of the middle eastern religions claiming we have to grovel to one or more angry demiurges and face "judgment."
But even if consciousness did end with death: I also think good things we do for other people (including giving nice women orgasms and making them feel desired and appreciated and so on) have lasting value.
Every once in awhile an older woman who's had a lot of wine or something such will start telling a bunch of enthusiastic animated stories reminiscing about her 'romantic' adventures and being desired by some hunk when she was in the full bloom of womanhood in her 20s or 30s, LOL.

My Grandma who was in her 80s took my Dad by surprise once by suddenly telling some of those kinds of stories about when she was in her 20s in Hawaii and got swept off her feet by some islander hunk, LOL, so even 60 years later she was still buzzing along on endorphins sometimes from looking back on those good memories.
