I do not think so, around 1970 women in Europe were already totally into feminism, which means multiple boyfriends, disrespect of fathers, making fun out of boys of same age who could not give them money in return of sexual favors, some girls were very scornful and violent bullies and often also into theft etc. etc.
I can only say, women in Western Europe were pretty bad past WWII, as far as I can remember back as a child. However such behavior was not supported by law.
There was still divorce/fault and the cheating woman received nothing, women were not much willing to work, but got less salary, abortion was still something considered as bad behavior and as very last resort and not like a form of life-style nowadays etc.
It was also not so easy to travel, airfares were very expensive, nothing like internet to collect information, everywhere visa required, no international banking system like ATMs, dating abroad was difficult.
Might be 1970 was different from 2014, but for sure not better for any young man who was looking for a serious relationship, at least not in Central Europe.
