Some of my reasons for being happier abroad

Post by Bao3niang »

Life Now:
-Living with difficult family
-Very little freedom
-Playing computer games all day
-Can't get any dates
-Air is very unclean (Beijing/China)
-Materialistic society
-Too much dependence on others
-Dumb people
-Eating pretty much the same things all the time
-More expensive to live

Life Abroad:
-On my own/opportunity to have my own circle of friends and to distinguish from good and bad
-Almost complete freedom
-Actually going out and exploring new things, new places, and learning about new cultures
-Dating life will take off
-Less air pollution
-Society where there is more culture and where the people have more of a life
-Independence / life skills
-Chance to meet more intelligent people
-More foods
-Cheaper to live

TOP REASONS FOR BEING HAPPIER ABROAD:
1. Dating / Social
2. Culture (food, customs, history, etc.)
3. Independence and less stress
4. Realizing who I am and really being that person
5. Cheaper living costs

I am an 18-year old Chinese-Canadian male with a screwed up life and desperate to escape. I want to begin with Vietnam and hopefully I will take my 1st trip there next year. One of the girls I met on www.vietnameselove.com already offered to pick me up once I arrive at Ho Chi Minh City OR welcome me once I arrive at her hometown of Tay Ninh which is 90km northeast of HCMC. Her name is Tuyen Tran and she's 20.

As for other areas of the world, I'm thinking Russia/Eastern Europe, maybe Southern Europe as well? Peru, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile also OK for me :)

If you guys have experience and suggestions just post them in this thread!

Why are you eating the same things all the time in China?! I always felt you could eat for a year and never eat the same thing twice with Chinese food.

Well it's not that I don't enjoy the food in China (I do a lot), it's just that I really want to try authentic local cuisines from other regions.

Well..the great thing about Asia is just how big the whole Continent is! It's relatively easy to go from one country to another in Asia. And think about how diverse the whole region is...from Vietnam to Indonesia, the Philippines and Japan, Siberia Russia to the Indian Subcontinent. It's very easy to change countries if you get bored in that region.

I enjoyed Thailand very much, and I'm going back there next month. Sadly the paper pushers screwed up my long term visa, but I can stay there for one more month before going on somewhere else.

Thailand had great food, good weather (always hot) and the air was very clean in the rainy season. Sadly it's hard work meeting decent women due to there being a lot of foreigners there and the women are very Westernised these days. But if you're not marriage minded it's a great place for P4P/casual girlfriends.
I was Happier Abroad for a while but Covid killed that off.
