Places/Groups to meet decent people in the Philippines that are educated, intelligent, spiritual, etc
First, as publicduende recommended, Internations is a good place to meet expats and Filipino women that have a job and education. To sign up for their meetup events in Manila, go to:
You can also try the Rotary Club in Manila too, which Publicduende says he is the President of.
There are also meetups in Manila at:
http://www.meetup.com (select your location from their main menu)
The folks there consist mainly of expats and westernized Filipinos/Asians. There are many special interest groups for various hobbies and interests.
Couchsurfing Meetups are great too. You meet lots of open minded freespirit types there who like talking to strangers and meeting new people.

For those of us with a spiritual focus, there are spiritual/holistic groups as well where you can meet people with a more spiritual focus.
Here are links about the Hare Krishna center in Manila. Hare Krishna is a Hindu movement that is popular with hippies, freespirits, and fans of India and Hinduism. The Beatles were involved in it too. George Harrison also uttered "Hare Krisha" in his hit song "My Sweet Lord". Hare Krishna centers also serve delicious vegetarian foods too, which are mostly Indian/Hindu style dishes with Indian spices, so their food fests at their events are usually awesome. They sometimes run canteens and cafes with vegetarian meals too.

Theosophy Society in Philippines. Theosophy was the original New Age movement from the late 1800's, established by Madame Helena Blavatsky, considered to be "the mother of the New Age movement". However, after her passing, the movement become corrupted and commercialized by those who took it over. However it is still better than organized religion, and is good for freespirits and New Agers, as it blends East and West spirituality together, along with ancient esoteric teachings and mystery schools, and mysticism as well. So it's a hybrid and mishmash of many spiritual systems. Though it has some common popular teachings and beliefs, just like the New Age movement does, they are not dogmatic or rigid.
If any of you have any ideas to add to the list, feel free to post them below.
