China or Philippines?

I'm trying to decide whether I should concentrate on trying to find a girl in China or the Philippines...
The Philippines had some advantages (mainly that the women speak english, and are easy-going and not too shy).
The Chinese are mostly atheist (as am I), and I'd rather retire to what will by then probably be a first-world country instead of the shithole that is the philippines.
I've been to the philippines once and I'm going back again, the closest I've been to china is the inside of the airport in Hong Kong on the way.

It's something I'm trying to weigh up myself. The way I see it is as follows...(+ = pro, - = con)
Philippines:
+ relaxed culture
+ good weather, beaches, etc
+ cheap
+ girls more likely to go with the flow and not be a bitch/nagger
+ more people speak/understand the English language than in China
- girls are uneducated, dont expect to have many deep conversations
- girls are untrustworthy, poor families and lack of guilt will mean they would walk all over you and
send you broke if you are too nice
- the majority of girls tend to get fat/ugly fast from 25 onwards due to poor diet/no exercise, even most younger ones arent that attractive IMO
China:
+ girls better looking - far less likely to get fat, they also age extremely well
+ country moving from 3rd world to 1st world, better quality services and amenities
+ cheap
+ girls tend to be more frugal and better with money generally
- the culture is more nationalistic and closed off to foreigners, you will always be seen as an outsider
- I believe the culture there is that you are expected to support her parents when they are older due to the lack of a pension system, and its quite common for them to move in with you when they are older
- girls much more likely to be nagging bitches
- harder to stay in the country than in the Philippines re. Visa requirements
- government oppression
- although mentioned as a positive above, the sad fact of China becoming more of a first world country is
that girls in certain areas (generally the main cities) are more Westernized. Any Chinese woman you marry might be fine now. But in 20 or so years they may have mutated into a textbook Anglobitch

Best you spend some time staying in several key areas of both countries to figure out which type of girl you are more suited to.
In some ways, it might be easier to become accepted in China than PI. In China, I think you can do fine if you settle in a community long term, learn the language, and behave respectably. On the other hand, in PI, I think you will also always be an outsider as far as the locals are concerned in spite of what some others on this forum have claimed. Moreover, I believe there is a 'prostitute' stigma attached to being with a foreigner. That means local girls from better families may think twice about dating a foreigner because they don't want to be mistaken for a low class bargirl. There is a similar dynamic in Thailand but I believe it is weaker for guys who look decent and respectable. In China, its even less of an issue since expats there are more likely businessmen and not sexpats.
If you are 20-40, consider Taiwan as an alternative source of quality Chinese women. They tend to be lower risk and in some ways, more old-school in the right ways.
If you really must totally blend-in and don't want to be considered an outsider, some Lat Am countries may be your best choice. Just remember, being an outsider or different can work in your favor too.

Thats very true. I would imagine it would be extremely difficult to ever shake the stigma of being considered a sex tourist in PI or Thailand whereas you'd probably get the benefit of the doubt a bit more in places like China or Taiwan.

Not 20, 5 years or fewer.
Most Chinese girls and young women I know, are well aware of the fact that Westerners and Americans are not all rich. They know that China is on the rise, and rising very very rapidly.
To them, and by 'them' I refer to any Chinese single female 14-23, all they need to do is wait 3 - 5 years and there will be a surplus of middle class to rich Chinese men who have an apartment and a car and money and a good job and who will make a good husband. A 14 year old Jr. High girl has prospects not unlike someone in Brasil or Chile or some of the less rich 1st World developed nations. When she is ready to marry in 12 years, China will be the world's largest economy and Americans will be moving to China by the millions to find work.
The days of clear cutting Chinese cuties is almost at an end.
You will have to move to a smaller 3rd/4th Tier city, even a smallest city of 40,000, go to a local village, find a girl who dropped out of HS and is working at a beauty salon or ice cream parlour.
Can you still pull College Girls? Sure. But don't think that your money will wow them anymore.
It won't.
But are they bitches?
Ha!
Only the worst ones in Shanghai. All the girls I know are sweet as strawberries and cream.

Terrence gave a great comparison of China vs. the Philippines in my other thread here:
