7am: Go buy groceries, hear Bang! in meat section and see an 18yo kid lying down and polociman screaming "where is your partner"
7:15: Finish shopping, exit market while going around the blood pool and go home.
7:45: Throw in the trash the fried eggs, fried rice and dried salted fish deepfried in oil that my wife prepared for the kids and give them toasts with juice instead.
10:00: Grab kids and take them for a walk not to come back
10:15: After long discussion tell wife she's a slut and bad wife/mother and to leave us in peace.
10:25: Two of her dozen brothers break into my house ignoring anything I say about why are they unexpectedly here.
10:40: Countless attempts of communication futile. They listen to english, look for anything that suits their interests and talk among themselves in filipino.
10:45: Finally one of the 20yo boys speaks english to say: "We are not your family, I'm not your brother and this is not your country". Hearing that makes my throat and heart become so tight that I can hardly grasp for air.
10:50: They spread across my house turning every shelf and drawer upside down looking for something. I assume they wanted to get a hold of the kids documents and mine.
10:55: After repeated ignoring and fighting back my requests to explain why they're turning my house upside down and not listening me telling them to stop while constantly violently fighting back, I decide to throw them outside so they can cool their heads.
11:00: I pay along with other residents to have security guards in our private condominium and ask one for help in ending that madness... her brothers talk to him in filipino and the guard just stands there doing nothing... I don't raise a hand towards them due to considering them family and I'm not in the age for such things... but they just contunue going violently berserk all over me while I repeatedly say "Look at what you are doing! Stop! I'm your brother. Talk to me."
11:05: After the scandal in my frontyard, I'm profusely bleeding from one leg and have half my head swollen like a potato and they take the kids.
11:06: With ripped clothes and barefoot I run down the street after the kids while one of the brothers stays in the middle of the street fighting to block me while the other runs away with my wife and my kids.
11:10: I don't give up and manage to pass the first brother, grab the second brother and my wife to convince her to at least let me hug the kids before letting them go wherever they might be taking them. I give two hugs to each and walk back bleeding and torn for everyone's spectacle. Not a single person in the croud helped... not one... not even the guards that I'm paying to help, did their job.
2pm: take a bath and leave looking for the kids to find my wife hiding them in another sibling's house.
3pm: Everyone wants explanations so we have a discussion together where I find my wife blatantly lying to her own brothers and sisters while looking into their eyes and raising her hand saying that she's being "honest to God" and accusing me of false accusations since she doesn't have any affair, only to 5min later admit she has, but it's my fault that she's being unfaithful.
4pm: Conversation among all brothers and sisters comes down to this: I must beg for her forgiveness while blackmailing me that they are filipinos and is very easy to deport me if they want even though my citizenship papers are almost approved. They blackmail me even further saying that if they decide to do that I will not be allowed to come back to the philippines (implying I won't see the kids ever again).
5pm: The parents join the spectacle, this time pulling my leg with a pity inducing drama asking me not to blame them for their actions and violence and that they wouldn't be like this if I helped them (even more). My heart melts and I stupidly agree by saying: "Yes, we should help each other and I would like to start by helping your daughter by taking her to church on sundays since I'm here for many years and I only attend mass once or twice a year. Can you help me with that?", reply: "If you can give financial support". I think: "so that's what you meant by help" *facepalm*

I firmly believe this was the reason to why my ex and I split although there was no confrontations or admittance, just a wall of silence. They liked to think they were the perfect family going to church and proclaiming themselves as pillars of the community but deep down they just wanted to pimp out their daughter to a westerner for financial gain under the guise of a genuine relationship.

Just like their daughters, these families need to be told from the off that they'll be zero financial support. Any other way, and it's just a gamble getting involved with a Filipina in my opinion.

Not sure what the law is regarding this kind of thing over there but he could have been arrested for kidnapping and thrown into a shithouse of a prison for the foreseeable future. Would have been better to consult a lawyer before doing anything drastic as it could have made the situation a lot worse than it turned out.

True enough. I made certain assumptions based on a case I know. An American guy who went through the effort to secure his child's American citizenship and US passport. The child was as much a foreigner as he. When he had issues, he took his kid and split. If CMagaya's kids have Philippines citizenship he may very well have no rights whatsoever.

I can consult a lawyer to tell me the obvious, but if I start adding lawyers to the mix escalating to marriage annulment and trying to get custody (which any lawyer would rub their hands in happiness), EVERYONE around here will look at me as an evil monster, Russian1860.

People already look at me daily through the corner of their eyes as if I was some kind of monstrous aberration with seven heads whenever I go out in the street just because I'm white. Despite living 1h away from the capital of the country, even yesterday I couldn't even go out to buy those fertilized duck egg fetuses for eating at desert without random kids passing on a bike abruptly stopping and staring at me with their jaws dropped and mouths wide open before the curfew of 10pm. Adults disguise, but children don't. This is the reality around here. And every day is like that, no matter how much I try to blend in.

What I'm trying to say is that I thank you for trying to give advice, but if I follow that advice and keep going in that path, my daily hell is gonna become 10 times more infernal than what already is, as gossip would certainly spread faster than wildfire and the next day if I went out to a sarisari store buy even a bar of soap to wash or a bag of rice to eat I would have woman in all stores refusing to sell anything to me and I'd have to travel far, far away under the torrid tropical sun just to be able to eat on a daily basis, simply because everyone would hate me for adding lawyers and legal processes in courts in the middle of this and destroying and creating huge legal complications and problems in the life of an honest delicate and sweetly innocent filipina.

Making the right call here was critical, and yeah, lawyers are a bunch of greedy fuckers, but they're here for a reason. You've now got the option of seeing your kids or risk losing everything you own because the family have got you over a barrel. They might agree a "price" for you to visit the kids but they could up the ante further down the line if you know what I mean.

I have no sympathy for CMagaya. Stupid deserves to be punished hard. However, I would like to point out that something like this is very likely to happen to all those guys who go wife shipping in Ukraine. Filipinas are gentle and sweet-tempered compared to Украинок. Forget the bitching about whether Mark Davis charges too much and doesn't deliver on what he promises (a ukranian wife). The real danger is the promise is fulfilled and you bring the woman to the states and then get divorce raped. At least CMagaya can just hop a plane and leave this mess behind. The kids will survive, at least some of them.
