Dude, she's 24 going for 25, a teacher (Ateneo graduate) and doing her teaching experience. The classroom in the background is probably the school she's teaching at. Please don't big it up, I dared posting her pic just because somebody was explicitly asking me how she looks like. No big deal :)
No offense nor am I trying to flame you. I guess it's all eye of the beholder or maybe because I live in USA or something. She does look young and can you fault me? Better yet if you do care about her I would take down that pictures. Its better to PM to someone and hopefully trust that other person or post a picture of someone like her. This is the internet after all.

Personally if that's your ideal girl to each his own. So I assume someone that looks like her are consider the better quality girls?

If I was single again I would aim more for these types but not sure if (I'm 40 years old Korean American) will be in their radar.

It's 2017 now. Many decent posters left this forum ages ago because they see it as a negative and even dark place. I will try to counter this dynamic in hopes of seeing an eventual recovery.

So please stop the attacking, bickering, and insulting immediately, especially in this thread but also in others. If you continue with the unnecessary negativity and distractions, your posting privileges may be suspended or cancelled without further warning, especially if you are a newer member.

Rock,

This is a critical post. I hope you stick to it.
From what i observe, page views and unique visitors are down considerably.
Additionally, tirades about the the great ice wall, how the world is flat and aint Hitler great, as well as every other crackpot theory, will really not help gain viewers except those with serious issues. It is NOT a brand building strategy.

So to paraphrase, what you are saying is that for the good of the forum, Winston should clearly be banned immediately.

Its his forum, he can do what he wants. Recently, gay porn postings last or days. If there is a Happier Abroad, expat oriented purpose, All the other stuff will not help build the audience that will likely be as interested in the various foreign and expat related ads that place here.
The stated purpose is not consistent with being a total free for all. If he does not have a primary business purpose for the site, but wants it as a free for all, thats a choice too. Expat oriented people who dont want to wade through all the other crap can go elsewhere. If someone asks me about how to run a farm or how to sail, i can likely help them. If i include tirades about strip clubs or step by step instruction for doctors performing a sex change surgery, i will likely lose my original audience.

Obviously all the spam should be deleted soon after it is posted and it is just a problem of Winston being too lazy and irresponsible to do this. As to all the rest, it is what made the forum what it is in the first place. Hence complaining about it is like going to Japan and complaining that the place would be great if only they could enhance their brand by not having so many Japs hanging around.

They say you cant argue with success. My impression and basic checks indicate traffic is down substantially over the last year or so.
If so, its not about arguing with success.

The reason traffic is down is a lack of basic housekeeping and the fact that the environment has changed. The appropriate response is to do that housekeeping and accept the ebbs and flows. Lets not throw out the baby with the bathwater.

More clarifications:

1) I did not say she is my ideal girl, I just reported a recent episode and mentioned her as a quality cutie from a good family and associated to my closest social circle. She is not quality because she looks like a teenager, she is quality because of her family background, her education, her being religious and conservative (she's very close to a local christian church, together with her mom) and even her not being so approachable. I am not desperate to make a move towards her. And even if I could, I don't believe the fact she looks younger than her age would pose a problem.

2) I uploaded that pic on TinyPic and I don't even know if it's possible to have it removed. I need to ask Winston or an admin to have the patience to edit it out from all posts (numerous) that embed it.
LOL of course I would much rather prefer those busty bombshells. I don't think anybody with a background different than yours would object. :) In the Philippines those girls tend to be half Filipinas or of mestizo ancestry. I met girls on a couple of occasions who had massive breast growth after having their first pregnancy. Amazing...but it wouldn't last as a relationship :)

Traffic is also down (and I realize this is off topic) because over the years I have been here this forum has changed from a resource on 'how to be happier abroad' to one that emphasizes that ' you sure as hell won't be happier abroad.' I have no conclusions - this is just my observation.

That is partly because the state of the world has changed so that the latter point now carries more weight. Not much we can do about that.

Globalisation and the internet has taken away the foreigner effect that used to be there say 15 years ago before the smartphone and app boom and underdeveloped internet (very little social media).

It actually easier to expatriate for many. The numbers do not support that happier abroad is a diminished prospect. On the contrary, just for America, let alone others, there are record numbers living abroad. Diminished traffic at HA is a site specific problem, not an overall demographic problem or a problem due to diminished interest in living abroad.

Do you have sites to support these numbers? Not saying I disagree with you.

I think Americans that do expatriate do it for all different reasons. You may have retirees that find it cheaper to live abroad. You might have people who can't find decent work in the states and just do the ESL route internationally. You might have just young travelers . What makes Happierabroad unique is that in nutshell we are against feminist or some posters are against American women or western women.

That is true: the world is more connected than ever before, travelling is cheaper and people are starting to "get" the digital nomad lifestyle. On the other side, I agree with EB's point, that social media and easy access to the glitz & glamour of cheap selfie edonism has changed the attitudes of Filipinas, at least the younger millennials, quite a bit. I can see it.

It won't be long, maybe a few more years, before the reaction to most young Pinays at the idea of hooking up with a foreigner 15/20 years older will be "eew". 90% of the girls who chase me or I can easily chase are single moms who have been knocked up by one of the barangay pretty boys and dumped because daddy won't take the responsibility. And we foreigners are supposed to "accept" them.
