So, here I think we have a difference with filipinas, as they seem to be more 'relaxed', but as you said may of them they ask indirectly in the form of 'help'.
Better straight and direct terms with a chinese girl, or more soft and indirect with a filipina?
I guess this is possibly a matter of personal choice...
Material things and wealth are important to Chinese women, you had better improve her life or die trying - especially if you have children with her.
Chinese men do that willingly, it isn't even contested. If you want a woman who is willing to let you find yourself and isn't bothered about material possessions then I am sure there are loads of nice western women who'll love you for you.

Yick has some good advice - first of all understand that Chinese women are not the same as women back home - theyre not independent, which means they won't have this grating repellant demeanor which is supposed to be attractive in the West.
They arent impressed with bravado, whatever.
First of all, you need to understand something about women (all women) and human beings. Everything revolves around them. If you can think about and go about this angle of 'how can I be fun, and interesting to this girl...to all girls' then they will respond to you and amazing things will happen.

I dont drink any SAB products; it is not a white man's beer. They are all made with mielies now. I will drink Tafel, which is from Namibia, windhoek, or mostly my home made beers which are much nicer. Got Weiss, Bock and a stout at the moment. My outside flat is now a brewery. It is next door to the garage full of bikes No mielies or chemicals in mine. Pure Rheinheitsgebot. Just malt yeast and sometimes some dextrose for light beers. Even have fridges to ferment at european temperatures, and crash chill if I want to drop all sediment and make clear beer. Imported malt and yeast of course. All carbonated naturally and bottle conditioned. No C02 injections

Being from england you should appreciate good beer, although the english style is a bit bitter to my taste. The chocolate stout I made was not to bad though. Far better than Guiness.

Some good advice from Yick here when he says it depends. I both the good and bad when I was in China, in terms of foreigners getting into long term relationships with local girls. I'm talking in China meet ups here.

When I go to somewhere like the Philippines I try to explain to as many people as I can that only a small minority in the West are rich. They kind of get the picture when I point out that if everyone was wealthy, hardly anyone would work, meaning society wouldn't function properly. Who would drive the bus? Who would police the streets? Who would bake the bread in the morning? etc. etc.
Too many of the genuine women in the poorer countries think that finding a guy and relocating to the west is a piece of cake and they'll live happily ever after. Likewise with the guys who think that all foreign women would make ideal wives. There's naivety on both sides.

I abolished slavery in my house but I had to put my foot down with my ex. You have to because if you don't they'll take liberties. I see my days off as my Sabbaths with walking the dog and washing the car the odd time the only acceptable strenuous activities.

I can't recall how many years since I washed my bakkie. I pay blacks to do that. But washing my own bikes is a labour of love. Would you pay someone to give your wife a bath? I will kneel in the hot sun and wash the mud from the spokes and all the parts.

Is there still a sabbath. Most married men I know Saturday is doing chores, Sunday is a bike ride or church and be home by 12 to make Sunday meal because their wives don't cook. I'm totally serious. Even hard core bikers ride at sunrise on Sunday, by 11 wives calling they woke up and are hungry so he must come home and cook. Sunday meal is a big family thing here. Most men I know do the cooking and none are those you would weak sister or faggot types. They just want their kids to eat proper. I can relate to it. When my kids tell me what my x feeds them I just want to spend my weekend making good food for them.
I just spent 3 hours making slow cooked ribs and veggies from garden because they told me a week at their mother for school holiday they just ate take aways.
