Job openings in PH

Post by momopi »

How to search for jobs in PH:

1. Go to careerbuilder.com
2. In the keywords section, put in "Philippines"
3. Leave location section blank and click on "Find jobs"

You can do the same with "China", "Japan", "Asia", whatever. The key point here is that most people put the country in the "location" field and get 0 search results. This is because the locations are North America only, so the actual work location overseas is placed in the description field.

You'll get a lot of search returns that are not oversea jobs, i.e. "China bistro" instead of "job in China". So you'll have to filter through the list manually. Good luck.

Are these jobs for Filipinos? Because while there are 'openings' are these for non citizens, as well? The Philippines is a bitch of a country to find work in even for locals. Foreigners are NOT allowed to work here without a special working visa and a permit. So, thanks for posting, but are you trying to help foreign nationals to find work here or what?

What if a foreigner works for an American company in the Philippines? Does he still need a work visa?

And don't most companies not enforce that anyway? They just pay bribes if government officials get on their case about it, right?

I cannot guarentee that you'd find jobs that you're looking for. You have to search through the postings and look for yourself. You might have better luck with Monster.com's "international search" option. I looked at several HP and Quintiles Transnational job postings and did not find PH citizenship requirement.
