Most of these really extreme examples do turn out to be staged fakes; however, there's no denying just how many borderline personality-suffering AW really are out there, pulling lower-level versions of these stunts all the time.

I don't even mock them for it, believe it or not. I feel for them. This culture is so toxic nowadays, that it's turning increasing numbers of once-balanced people crazy.
