How extraordinary - a Democratic presidential candidate who isn't obviously stupid or evil.

Odd that it is people who are wards of the state like you who seem most likely to express this kind of sentiment. UBI could be viewed as a dividend on the technology developed by our (well, my) ancestors over the last 500 years. There is no reason the profits of this shared heritage should be restricted to whoever is rich enough to buy an automated factory. It is no more socialist than receiving a dividend on other investments. The rest of his economic policies seem similar to those of National Socialist Germany, which were of course wildly successful. Medicare for all citizens in the US would save a fortune in insurance assessments, paperwork, medical billing etc. and wouldn't favor tapeworm populations such as government affirmative action retirees over decent people. People wouldn't be stressed out over losing their jobs and thus their insurance and would be covered for life instead of only being covered when they are unlikely to need coverage.Contrarian Expatriate wrote: ↑March 1st, 2019, 8:38 pmYaaaawn. Typical socialist trying to come off as something new. His support for UBI and Medicare for all make him but an Asian male version of AOC and Kamala Harris.
Hey everyone. Cornfed finally came out of the closet as a communist! Most National Socialists (Nazis) actually are communists but they just conceal it better than he did in that convoluted paragraph of disjointed and factually incorrect thoughts.Cornfed wrote: ↑March 1st, 2019, 9:07 pmOdd that it is people who are wards of the state like you who seem most likely to express this kind of sentiment. Obviously there is a difference between Jewish communism and National Socialism as it was actually practised. What we have right now is actually a form of communism, it is just that all the benefits go to the parasitical elite and their inferior housepets such as yourself.Contrarian Expatriate wrote: ↑March 1st, 2019, 9:55 pmHey everyone. Ah yes... The world according to Cornfed. I'm not sure if this "whirled view" is a result of untreated mental illness or low IQ level. It very well could be both, but I would not expect much different from an unfulfilled, obese, unloved, incel who never, ever experienced being adored by a young, nubile, blonde girl.Cornfed wrote: ↑March 1st, 2019, 10:05 pmObviously there is a difference between Jewish communism and National Socialism as it was actually practised. But of course it's feeling lame, for you.
Corny you need to wake up and realize all these ism's were created by the international bankers in pursuit of information and knowledge in an attempt to build the one world system. Das Kapital was written in the museum of London of the CITI and that should tell you alot. All these people with their names on these works are just card board cut outs of the financiers, just like Einstein worked at the swiss patent office. What did he do their ? more than likely stole patents for our masters. By the way there are books claiming he was another card board cut out and his works were lifted from others...Cornfed wrote: ↑March 1st, 2019, 10:05 pmObviously there is a difference between Jewish communism and National Socialism as it was actually practised. UBI would serve as a disincentive for people to train or retrain to take on these more sophisticated jobs. Paying people to remain unproductive would do what welfare currently does, perpetuate and increase the unproductive.
No, current welfare does that. If you would receive a UBI to live on and it would never be cut no matter what, you would have every incentive to also work to buy nice stuff. Work would be more rewarded than it is now.Contrarian Expatriate wrote: ↑March 3rd, 2019, 10:57 pmUBI would serve as a disincentive for people to train or retrain to take on these more sophisticated jobs.
But it is a case of a few jobs replacing thousands. In any case a 50 year old average IQ low skilled worker is not going to be able to snap his fingers and become an automation engineer or whatever, but I don't think that means he should starve after doing his best for decades. It is not like everyone can get to sponge off federal pensions or the like.Higher tech jobs require people to maintain and repair those technologies. So while McDonalds might need fewer cashiers, they would need more electronic kiosk technicians to service and maintain them.
What is wrong with a consumption economy where there is no work to be done? Suppose we have our Star Trek replicators and robots waiting on us hand and foot. Why can't we just enjoy this and consume? Why must we starve to death in the midst of plenty? Is the sole purpose of everyone other than federal pensioners to do hateful work?UBI is simply a means to inject more permanant consumption into the economy. It is also merely a wealth distribution tool that is funded by the upper strata of taxpayers.
