It seems the mechanisms are gradually going into place that will allow full control of money and people.

First there was a secret 30% tax on money paid by US companies to non-US entities. (This seems to be the rule among OECD countries now.)

Then they instituted a requirement that BANKS stick their noses in, and withhold this 30% when sending the bank wire. I think this is under FATCA. My understanding is that this applies to PayPal and credit card payments to foreign entities as well, if over a threshold of $20,000. (Last I heard the Feds were working out details with the CC companies.)

Doesnt sound too evil at first. But this is an income tax in advance, on the gross, with no clear guarantee of a refund based on deductible expenses incurred.

And with this mechanism in place the next step could be to skim 30% off the top of EVERY money transfer outward, even if it is not a commercial transaction. I.e. if you open a bank in Mexico, Uruguay, Belize etc, then they could lift 30% out of your pocket when you send the money, even to yourself.

This would require a new law (or executive order ) but the point is, the mechanisms are in place, ready to be extended in scope to all transactions.

Same with Sentri and other similar Trusted Traveler programs. These seem like pilot programs, to work the kinks out... headed for a full system of internal/external passport controls.
