I had a legal practice in Family Law for a few years and here are my comments:
All things being equal in considering who would be the better parent, the tie goes to the mother in the courts. Either she has to relinquish this advantage or her acts are so aggriegious that the court will acknowledge it.
A substantial number of fathers don't want to fight and let the mother keep the kids to avoid fighting....as in court battles.
Unfortunately there are too many Fathers that abandon their family. Understandable to some degree when you see the system inequities.
When you look at the statistics quoted about how detrimantal a fatherless homw is, it's sad that there are elements of society that still push the Father's out of their natural position to take care of their children.
Lastly, don't leave your kids...or fight to keep involved in their lives for their sakes.

Most men don't have any choice but to give up. Their ex wives can take them to court any time for more money, make false accusations and refuse visitation, there's no downside for them. Every time a man has to return to court for any of these reasons its costing him money.Attorney at Large wrote: A substantial number of fathers don't want to fight and let the mother keep the kids to avoid fighting....as in court battles.

Yep. I have a brother whose wife told him she wanted a divorce when she was 2 months pregnant and they also have a 5 year old. No reason given except she thought he had anger issues. My brother is an excellent provider, is smart ,fun, the ladies love him (but he swears thes wasn't the issue) and loves his children to the max. She did make false accusations to get an advantage and many many women do this in court and the Court has to take these accusations seriously. So he basically is going to be paying for the next 18 years (baby is now 8 months) and she will do all she can to minimize his time with the kids....while risking all of those bads stats mentioned. It is insane.Taco wrote:Most men don't have any choice but to give up. I do believe that the Family laws of divorce, child support, custody, etc. need to be adjusted to address the current lifestyles.

Any reason is a good reason for an American woman to get divorced. However, I can think of 425 million reasons not to marry an American woman.Attorney at Large wrote:Yep. Let me tall you something Attorney at Large you are a Stooge of the International Bankers weather you like it or not, they started the complete take over of our legal system when the US republic went bankrupt and they were the receivers of it in the great depression bankruptcy.Attorney at Large wrote:Yep. America had to be destroyed by England and the people England are in business with, they do not want people to understand what America was really supposed to be about. England is to this day the total enemy to what the America was intended to be.
Now if people are this dumb then let England have it, they have made their point loud and clear.
