Only losers use online dating, maybe you already know that.

I disagree with that. Online dating is just another option that opens up more doors to meet girls.

Forget West Europe. South Europe is especially hard because competition here is huge. Tons of hot guys and not-so-many hot girls so girls are very pretentious and only date guys out of their league. They're very stuck up, bitchy, snob and want-it-all. They want a guy that is good looking, with a very big social circle, confidence, charismatic, alpha, rich, with high social status, good sense of humour and plenty of social life. And I'm not talking about hot girls, every girls thinks she is entitled to such a guy. They also judge guys based on their social apps. For example they want guys to have lots of pics, followers and likes on instagram, facebook, snapchat ecc...

It plain sucks.

You have to go to East Europe to find more down-to-earth girls. Lithuanian girls are awesome, same for estonian and latvian girls (latvian are against foreigners though). Poland girls are a bit less beautiful but more open and sweet (and easy).
Russian and Ukrainian girls are very beautiful but also very materialistic and high maintenance.

You should have gone to Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia. France and Italy too.

If that's the filter through which you see things through, then sure, the whole world would look bleak and empty. Couldn't the mould of other guys be your advantage? Couldn't understanding what a lot of girls complaints about guys are help you to put yourself ahead of what you see as 'competition'. Do you even need to see it that way?

At least southern Europe is better than northern Europe in the regard of less stuck-up girls, at least mainland northern European countries are better in that regard than the UK or the Scandinavian countries.

I don't know what particular scenarios prompted you to bring this up or come to this conclusion, but you shouldn't write whole countries off based on a handful of experiences.

In general, if you go to second tier cities, you will find much friendlier people and they will be more interested in you in all countries.
That's why this question really doesn't make sense. I.e a second tier city in Germany could be much better than the capital of Bulgaria.
It also depends a lot on who you are whether the local girls are interested in you or not. So a certain country could suit your style while another wouldn't.
The poorer the country you go to, the more interested people will be in you because you're an American. In some countries it could be a drawback with many people who dislike the US.
Western Europe also has a much higher quality of life, but if you go to poor Eastern Europe your money will go further, so depending on how much your budget is you could "live like a king" in Romania whereas the same amount of money you'd be middle class in Rome or London. Obviously if you're living like a king it will be easier to find women interested in you.

What about a man that tended to not get along too well in America (lots of "culture clash" you might say), tended to get along well with Latinas & frequently Italians (ones that seem less "Americanized," at least), and is the type of person to take off & try to find something that works well?

Which countries would be good for that, guys? I'd be interested in any answer, but I'm figuring I'll likely be going for Eastern Europe.

These are the best places in Europe for living? I don't think so, and I am orginally from Europe, Austria, near to Vienna.

Maybe for work if you really need a regular job as a foreigner, but if you do not need to work and have enough income from somewhere else, best is to move away from the large cities, especially capitals. Not necessarily to move to a rural area with nothing around, but move to a smaller city, with less activity, much nicer.

For example some places I found very nice, (but I left Europe many years ago)

In Austria, try Bregenz or Klagenfurt
In Germany, what about Koblenz or Schwäbisch Hall
In France nice places are Caen and Limoges
In Italy I spend some vacation in Senigallia, I like the Adria, but if you prefer mountains try Trento

etc.

I spend most of my months per year in Europe, but I would never want to spend ANY time in any of these cities. For that matter, I barely like to even connect thru these cities.

EASTERN Europe, is where it is at. "New Europe" has thoroughly supplanted Old Europe which is a whimpering shell of its former self.

I agree with CE,

for example in case of Vienna, I would move on to Budapest
I found nothing attractive in Istanbul, not my type of people living there - better stay in Varna in Bulgaria

In no way I would stay in London, Paris, Rome and Amsterdam again.

No suggestion about Dublin, no travel experience. But I guess better than London.

Agree with Berg but I would add more Spanish cities to the list. Barcelona, Valencia and Seville are also awesome places to reside. Denia is also gorgeous. Moreover, in terms of real estate it is even more attractive than the above mentioned cities. Have a look yourself https://virtoproperty.com/property-for- ... ante/denia.

Barcelona is probably the most dangerous and crime ridden city in Spain. Still safe compared to anywhere in America but it is turning more and more into a shithole - no way would I live there. If I wanted to live in that part of Spain - Tarragona, Girona or Sabadell would be my choice - but Catalonia would be my last choice to live in Spain.
