Yes makeup makes a big difference. Women unlike men don't consider altering their appearance a moral issue. This allows uglier women to date up a few levels.

Anyway, most women don't look particularly good with makeup. Once you know the truth, you can search for women who don't use (or minimally use) makeup. You want to look for a girl who looks good naturally because that's who you'll be stuck with. (You think she's going to wear makeup for you after marriage? Haha, good one, buddy!) It's very easy for women to overdo makeup, thus looking too obvious and fake. You can disregard those right away. If you're going to go for a makeup user, go for one who can at least do it well.



For the girl above, she looks pretty anyway. Her before makeup photo is intentionally made to look uglier though. These kinds of comparisons often lie because it's more about manipulating photos than portraying how the girl would look in real life.



This girl is just going to have a rough time of it since she's not pretty at all. Not sure what look they were going for with her makeup. Kind of has a 90s Michael Jackson look going on.
