if a woman sees herself as "top shelf", she is expecting that there is a man who will awe her by being a Predator (conqueror of other men) or a sexual "predator" (smooth seducer with her).

However even if quite young and pretty. if her self-image is WEAK, then she may respond well to a limited amount of flattery and compliments. As long as she sees you as above her or above what she could otherwise get.

That is true in the modern Western world, but for most of history and in healthier countries I believe that the women want to feel secure? Security is on the Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. Also, isn't it security that is one of the greatest influences on a woman's choice, assuming it was a more about traditional relationships instead of the liberalization of relationships.

When a woman earns equal to men, like in many of the Western and Anglo countries, they don't need to worry about security. They have all bought into the feminist idea of getting a job. That use to a minority. Many of the women that use to work, use to work beside their husband or with their family in a family-owned small business.

Also, feminism and the progressive liberalization of society destroyed tradition and marriage. Therefore many women in the West don't need to be married. Many Western women also treat marriage like it's just a form of "more serious dating with benefits" and divorce to move on to the next exciting fling and maybe collect a large financial payment or continuous financial payments.

Women in the West also know that they have many men lined up to date them. The "nice guys" will always be there lined up to get with them. They could probably manipulate their family into giving them money. Many Women also have special welfare programs to help them out.

The media and hollywood also brainwashes girls into wanting the bad boys, the gangstas, and the scum. In healthy countries they do want the respectable guy or the chivalrous guy.

So Western Women can act irresponsible without much punishment, they believe they have an unlimited amount of security, many people act as enablers for their poor behavior, and when some of the Western women do get punished it's usually no more a slap on the wrist.

Therefore Western women do what they do because they are:
1. Brainwashed into doing it, enabled in doing it, and supported in doing it
2. Given enough security through their own jobs (and are less likely to be laid-off or fired) that they don't need men to provide security (historically almost all women needed a man to have security)
they don't value marriage (for most of history marriage was seen as one of the most important events in her life and it was usually for life)
3. As long as they are reasonably attractive or even thin, they have many guys lined up to date them. As the population of overweight and obese women rises, the number of thin women decreases. Almost all men will go for the healthy and attractive thin women, and they know this, so they can do whatever they want. It's simple supply and demand.
4. Bad behavior and irresponsibility isn't punished. It's either rewarded for women, or women get off with nothing except a warning or a "slap on the wrist."
5. They don't think right because they act opposite to what is normal.

that last one is very true for latinas too
