Clearly the case of an absentee father who could have taught him that women are flaky and decide to leave sometimes, that the crying approach does not work with women, that putting all your romantic eggs in one basket is a bad idea.

Life is not a made for TV movie so breaking down like that is a loser's game.

I'm sure he knows all this now......

When I was his age, if I had a girlfriend and she broke up with me I probably would have done the same thing and gotten depressed and cried over it. I'm happy and lucky I didn't have to go through that. He placed his ex-girlfriend on a pedestal and in doing so he lost his pride. Sniveling and begging for his ex-girlfriend to take him back. He said other people told him he deserves better, but he still wants his ex-girlfriend. Where is his pride?

I think we all felt that way at one point ... the sad thing here is it looks like this must have been a private video message sent to his gf & now the whole world can see it. Cruel.

Not really. Sadness over heartbreak is different from total devastation and lack of any semblance of dignity.
