So I dated a chinese american girl a while back for about 4 years. She was ok at first and then one day she decided to try out for miss chinatown in my city because a couple of her friends told her to. I supported her throughout the pageant and I even shelled out my own hard working earned money to get her things for the pageant including getting an chinese cheongsam dress tailored made for her for the pageant. She won and then she started changing when she had this new group of friends from the pageant. Eventually she found someone else and the guy was a computer engineer and he had a high paying position and she broke up with me. She said that I was not good for her because I worked at a grocery store and didn't earn a lot like the other guy did and said that she only kept me during the pageant so that I can pay for her dresses and accessories. I am now furiously mad and I just want to just jump into a river and kill myself. Has anyone else ever been stabbed in the back by a girl like this ? Are all chinese american girls like this ?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the majority of people are like this, doesn't matter male or female, chinese or American, or Bolivian or whatever. It's just that most people never change their world within their lifetime. When someone changes their world, they get that record deal, get that starring role, their business strikes it rich, or win that beauty pageant, they are catapulted into a new reality, often complete with new people, things and environments. The old world they lived in, and the people in it, are no longer a fit for them.

This story is far too common, in any country, especially in the entertainment industry. Only the loyal and the strong willed will take the care to bring important people from their old world with them. Such people are few and far between in this modern age.

Also, while I don't want to sound demeaning, we are talking about America. You work at a grocery store and she won a beauty pageant. The odds were stacked heavily against you.

Asian American women, in general, are horrible. So the answer is Yes! Are you White or Black? Not like race matter either, because Asian American women are American in both behavior and attitude.

Not to sound too backwards, but the fact that she wanted to enter the contest in the first place was a red flag already, there were probably other previous signs that the OP is not disclosing.

It is easier for a palm tree to successfully thrive in Antarctica, planted in the ground and with zero protection whatsoever, than it is for even the absolutely most mentally hardy foreign woman who relocates to America to retain even the last of her good heart and not become fully Americanized. Once a foreign woman moves to America, it will take her, at most, about 3 months to become fully Americanized.

Another website that boycotts American women compares dating an American woman to driving a beat-up Ford Escort, and dating a foreign woman to driving a new Bentley. Well guess what? A foreign woman relocating to America is like driving that same Bentley right into and through a volcanic lava flow and/or a million puddles, 6 to 12 inches deep each, of concentrated sulfuric acid!

What a bad materialistic girl, but her reaction is no surprise for me at all.

This is an American girl, and it has nothing to do if her origin is from Asia, Europe, Africa or elsewhere.
She is an AMERICAN girl.

And yes, MANY women from feminist friendly countries are like that, and not only in USA. They consider men merely as 'tools' - if broken or do otherwise not fit their needs any longer, away to the garbage. Men are 2nd class citizens in USA, and good that you understand this now.

To be mad and to jump into a river is no good solution, you should be happy, very happy, that you got rid of this unthankful bitch with a minimum of financial loss - this girl was clearly a recipe for troubles in your future.

Better look for a nice woman from somewhere else, beyond the borders of USA.

About this girl who was misusing your kindness - first of all I think about the other man, who is earning more than you do - was he not ashamed disturbing your friendship with her? - Why did he take away the girl from you? Can he not find another girl who has no boyfriend yet and is lonely?

He has money but he is not a good man, he is of low morality and we will see how will be the future of your former girlfriend with him, maybe he will dump her soon and find some other girl who fits him better? Let's see in a few months if they are still together.

Another advice from me: Should this girl show up suddenly in front of you and telling you she is so sorry and 'let's try it again', say clearly NO and immediately walk away. Forget her. You deserve a better woman.

Many men had similar 'bitter disappointments' in their past - the point is however if they consider to change their behavior towards women - some do and some make the same mistakes again and again.

About myself, I am now married since over 3 decades, with a Japanese wife, living in Tokyo.

I never had a girl from my own country in Europe, but I was living together with a Chinese girl from Malaysia living in London, UK.
I wasted a lot of time - a few years - and also some money for her - and she did not even leave me. I left her, because enough is enough.

My personal experience is that it does not make much sense to date Asian American women (or Asian European women) and expect them to be better than other American or European women - it does not make sense to bring a foreign woman into Western countries, their behavior towards the boyfriend/husband who was assisting her so much is often changing to the worst - even without any wrongdoing by his side.

I do not blame these women only. I also blame Western men - these typical manginae, who are not ashamed to break into a relationship and destroying friendship and marriage and feel 'great' when they take away an anyway unstable girl from a young man who had - a bit naive - best intention.

He said Chinese-American girl. That woman is American. She is not even from abroad.
