While those are standard skills and tasks taught to many children where I grew up, you would be pretty hard pressed to find a person with those basic life skills in the USA. Certainly there are a few out there, but a small minority.

Tons of Americans know how to do these things. Not in Manhattan, sure, but all over small town and rural America they do. As I already stated, very few people where I come from have never hunted before. Almost every family has at least one buck hanging on their living room wall. Most males know at least on manual trade. Far more Americans can do these things than Europeans, there isn't even a comparison.

Americans need to look in the mirror and realize there is a lot more to the world than what's going on in the USA.

More than Euopeans? Well if that is what you want to use as your measuring stick go ahead. Not too hard to feel manly when you only compare yourself to them.
I do know you say is true. Many Americans do possess these skills. But most Americans live in suburbs and cities and do not possess these skills. Just the way it is.
