Why Can't I E-mail Her Yahoo Address??

Post by CrazyCanuck944 »

I'm chatting daily with a Manila based Filipina and would like to send her some photos. Problem is, she only has a yahoo address. When I tried to send from my hotmail, I received a 'delivery status failure' notification.

I even created a yahoo email myself, and tried emailing her from that address. Again, it was unsuccessful. This time, the reason was that 'the user does not have a yahoo.com account'.

Of course, I have asked her about this, and she insists that the account info she sent me was valid.

I think I will ask her to send me an email to see if that works. Other than that, any ideas why this isn't working??

I've experienced that too. They seem to frequently misspell their email addresses. Many Filipinas gave me their emails to look them up on Facebook, but Facebook can't find it. It happened so many times. They are too simple and error prone and don't fit in the modern world.

Did you try adding "yahoo.com.ph" at the end of their email address?

I'll try that next Winston, thanks. As an RN of 20+ years, she's very bright, so I'm thinking she would have caught such a mistake quickly...but then again, I had to help her figure out the process of adding my phone number. The country/area code +1 seemed to give her problems.
