Why Are We Here & Why Do We Suffer? 9 Models of Reality and My Analysis of Them

Post by Winston »

We all know the timeless questions about why we are here and why we suffer in this world. From my research and study in philosophy, religion, spirituailty, occult, Gnosticism, and metaphysics, here are the models both ancient and contemporary, that try to answer these questions. Here is a summary of them below, after which I will post my analysis of the pros and cons of each model. Which do you think best fits ALL the data? Which resonates with you the most?

1. Christian Model: The world was created by a perfect all loving all powerful God who put a Forbidden Tree in the Garden of Eden to test Adam and Eve's obedience. They failed the test by sinning and eating the forbidden fruit, and that's why the world is in the mess that it is in today. The Earth is a battleground for souls between God and Satan. The saved who accept Jesus as their savior are on God's side and everyone else is on Satan's side, no matter how good they are, because no one who is unsaved is good in the eyes of God, even if they are genuinely good people in reality. We all know about this model. It's part of mainstream Western culture. In Evangelical versions, if you are saved, you go to heaven, if not you go to hell. In other versions your good works are weighed on a scale against your bad works, and whichever side is higher determines your afterlife. In the Catholic version, there is Purgatory as well, which is a temporary place between heaven and hell. Suffering exists in this world because the first humans, Adam and Eve, chose to sin in the Garden of Eden, and we are all paying the price for that in a fallen world.

2. Atheist/Materialist Model: The universe was created by a Big Bang from a void of potentiality. We were created by a combination of accident, random chance, evolution, and unguided processes, without any intelligent Creator or God or divine being of any sort. There is no purpose in the universe or life. No one knows how life began or how the first biological cells began replicating, but science may discover the answer someday. Only the material world exists. There is no spirit world or soul or God, and consciousness is just an illusion and generated by the brain only. This model is fixed and unchanging and ignores all contrary data no matter how credible or valid. In this model, there is no explanation for suffering or purpose for it.

3. New Age School of Life Model: This is the New Age model. It says that this world is a classroom to learn lessons from in each of our incarnations via the reincarnation cycle, so we can grow and ascend into higher planes of existence, such as heaven or nirvana or whatever. Unlearned lessons are taught again in the next life, until you grow into a highly evolved spiritual being or achieve enlightenment. Then you can escape the wheel of karma and reincarnation and ascend into higher dimensions or levels of heaven where you will be free of suffering and karma and can enjoy a perfect paradise where all your wishes manifest instantaneously. Suffering exists as a tool to teach us lessons or is part of karma.

4. ET Experiment Model: We were created by ancient aliens or genetially altered by them from our pre-existing state, to serve as their laboratory experiment or petri dish, for some cold calculating experiment without any regard for our suffering in this world. We are like lab rats. Another variation of this is that we are a prison colony for renegade ETs and bad souls who are selfish and corrupt, and quarantined here so our toxic nature doesn't affect the rest of the universe. Suffering is part of the experiment but the purpose is not known.

5. Soul Farm Trap Model: We are a resource to be used as food or energy by entities that feed and prey on us, both physically and energetically. This world is a human farm and we are cattle to be exploited, used, consumed, toyed with, experimented with, f***ed with, etc. by 4th dimensional entities. Just as we prey on animals and plants for food, so they do to us. They have to deceive us to keep us in the matrix though, so they create a lot of BS to keep us deceived and distracted, like religion, entertainment, New Age spirituality, Eastern spirituality, consumerism, false hope, self-help, and all kinds of BS to keep the illusion that "tomorrow will be a better day" when in reality tomorrow is usually just more of the same. But the illusion and lie has to be kept going. We are recycled at death into another body (reincarnation) so we can be kept in the soul trap farm. This is grim and there is little or no hope, so false illusions and false hope and fake optimism must constantly maintained to distract the human cattle so they will accept their predicament. The Matrix movies depict this sort of model, where humans are batteries to be used by an A.I. system. Suffering exists so the entities around us in the spirit world and 4th dimension can feed off us. They benefit from it.

6. Computer Simulation Model: We are in the matrix or virtual reality or digital universe, like in the Matrix movies. Perhaps as an experiment, or as entertainment, or a SIMS game. No one knows. We can only speculate. There is some interesting evidence for this hypothesis from science and physics. The universe also has holographic properties and digital properties as well. This model does not explain why suffering exists in the simulation, it could be part of the game or experiment or test.

7. Hindu/Buddhist Eternal Cosmic Cycle and Wheel of Karma Model: This is the Hindu/Vedic/Buddhist philosophy and cosmology. It has many variations and is taught in Eastern religions, some variants of Buddhism, Theosophy (which contains Vedic cosmology), as well as some New Age groups too. Basically, the universe is an eternal cosmic cycle of ups and downs. There is no objective good or evil, only cycles of constant change, just like the days and seasons of the year. It also includes karma and reincarnation in its Wheel of Samsara, which has a pictorial depicting how humans evolve up from plants and animals, who evolved up from rocks and minerals. If humans can shed their karma and reach enlightenment, they can ascend to higher planes where the gods reside. There are many levels of heaven in the Eastern model. But eventually even the gods and enlightened beings have to come back down again and restart the process over again, otherwise it gets stale after a while, even in paradise. If humans do bad or accrue negative karma, then they can devolve back down into the animal and plant kingdom and be reborn there. And if someone is really bad or evil, their souls will be burned up in hell and destroyed and be sent back to the rock and mineral kingdom, to start the process over again from the bottom up.

Suffering exists because of karma, desire, attachment, and craving, and is part of the law of cause and effect, which is part of the wheel of karma and rebirth. To cease suffering, one has to get rid of their karma, both good and bad, and release themselves from desire, craving, and attachment. To do that, one has to embrace the Buddhist doctrine of emptiness or impermanence. (In the Buddhist variation) Suffering also exists because it's part of the balance of polarities, represented by the iconic Ying Yang symbol, without which pleasure and joy cannot exist because everything must have an opposite to keep existence in balance between the polarity of opposites.

The Earth also has cyclical eras where mankind evolves and devoles. We are in the Kali Yuga cycle now, which is the Dark Ages and full of ignorance and materialism and scientism and is a cold/cruel world. But we are coming out of it into the Bronze Age. The Great Year Cycle consists of a 25,000 year cycle from the Golden Age to the Silver Age, then the Bronze Age, down to the Kali Yuga and then back up again. One theory says the cycle is tied to a twin star in our solar system and as our Sun gets closer to its twin star, the Golden Age arrives, and as it veers away from it, we descend back down into darkness again. When the universe ends, it goes into a cosmic sleep and darkness for a long time while nothing exists, and then reawaken again to begin the next big bang, and the cycle starts again. Unfortunately, this means that even if you go to heaven, it's not forever, as immortality gets boring and stale after a while. So once the cycle starts again, all those higher souls who ascended into heaven or nirvana or became gods, will then come down to be reborn again to suffer as humans or animals in the physical plane, so they can learn lessons and ascend again. This cycle is eternal and always changing. It had no beginning and will have no end.

8. Pantheism and God's Dream Model: This is also a Hindu/Vedic and New Age model that exists in conjunction to the previous Hindu model, and is part of the cosmology of Hinduism. It is Pantheistic in that God is everything and everything is God in this model. It says that before the universe was created, God was bored being in unity consciousness all the time. So he decided to split himself into infinite fragments that form everything in the universe and forget that he's God, so he can have experiences while rediscovering himself. So basically, we are God's dream and we are fragments of God dreaming of himself. Suffering exists because it is part of God's intention to have experiences, both good and bad, and part of the learning process to discover himself too.

9. Deism, Pandeism, Panpsychism Model: In the Deism model, God created the universe and then left it that way, without being actively involved in it. He either left and went somewhere else and let the universe run its course, or has no ability to intervene in world affairs or fix any of the world's problems. This was the popular view among 18th Century intellectuals, such as the Founding Fathers of America, including Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, and Thomas Paine, author of the great treatise exposing the Christian church "Age of Reason". Even Charles Darwin was a Deist, not an Atheist as Atheists would hope. It was also the view of great geniuses like Albert Einstein and philosophers such as Spinoza. Pandeism means that God is the universe as in Pantheism but he is not a personal God who can intervene or interact with us. Panpsychism means that not only is the universe God, but everything in the universe has consciousness, including rocks, meteors, water, and stars. It's similar to Animism, which ancient tribal cultures believed in and states that everything has a soul or spirit. In these models, there is no explanation for suffering. It's just a part of nature, perhaps a part of dualism since for pleasure to exist pain must also.

Which of these do you think best fits reality and makes the most sense? Can they all be true? Are they mutually exclusive? Can the matrix be all those things at the same time? What do you think?

I will give my analysis of the above in a later post below.

Some other beliefs:

- That you are God and create infinite realities
- Materialism. It is what it is. Just stuff happening that does not have much meaning

I just added the materialism/atheism model above. See #2 above.

Some New Age paradigms and Hinduism too, do teach that you can become a God someday, and when you do, you can create your own universe and other souls. So our universe was created by a God who evolved to that state, and we can do the same too, if we evolve high enough. So that is part of the New Age paradigm, which is diverse and contains many variations of course. But that idea is becoming popular too.

If you accept the idea that we are "sons and daughters of God" like the Bible says, this sort of makes sense, because if God is our father, then that means we are the same kind as him and can become like him if we grow up someday. Just like children grow up into adults and become parents too. So if we are made in the "image of God" then that means we can become God too someday because we are the same kind or species as our father. So the logic sort of does follow. Plus, in the book of Genesis it says that after eating the forbidden fruit, Adam and Eve hid from God as he was walking in the garden and making sounds with his footsteps, like a man or physical being. This implies that God was human or humanoid too, albeit a powerful one.

Re: Why Are We Here? Different Models of the Purpose of Our Matrix Reality and My Analysis of Them

Here is my analysis of the models above about why we are here and why our matrix exists:

My analysis of the models above. I will try to give the pros and cons, strengths and weaknesses, of each model. Since we can only speculate about these kind of things, I will try to use deductive logic and follow the data as much as possible, like a good investigator, and also ask "who benefits?" like a good detective.

Analysis of the Christian Model:

The Christian model is too extreme, problematic, and authoritarian and does not allow freethought or flexibility. Especially in the fundamentalist evangelical version, which was invented in America and is part of American culture and tradition. It is too dogmatic and has too many flaws and contradictions, as I explained in many other threads. It also lacks any evidence or basis or credibility to support its dogmatic authoritarian claims. So I have to discount it. Plus it's based on MAN MADE texts like the Bible and its "scriptures" which hold no authority or credibility and are obviously fallible and have been changed and revised many times over the last 2,000 years. Only the brainwashed consider it to be infallible. It's also been used as a political control system based on fear and guilt too, so it's about control and politics, not truth.

At best the Bible is metaphorical and contains some symbolic truths and archetypes, but it is truths mixed with lies and best not to be taken literally, lest you run into countless problems that are irresolvable and self-refuting. In fact, every great scholar of comparative religion has taken the Bible metaphorically, not literally, nor as some infallible authority, such as Carl Jung, Joseph Campbell, Huston Smith, Alan Watts, and Manly P. Hall.

Every wise person knows that the original teachings of Jesus have been perverted and twisted by the Church and even by Paul, for political purposes, which invalidates this model for any serious truth seeker. None of the greatest geniuses in history have ever been Christian fundamentalists, even though they believed in a God in some form. That should tell you something. WIse informed people also know that the Bible has been changed, revised, and upgraded many times from the Romans to King James of England, for political purposes. Hence even if the Bible was "divinely inspired, it became corrupted and turned into a blend of metaphorical truths mixed in with many lies. As Jeffrey Daugherty, the Christian whistleblower, said: "The Bible is 20 percent truth and 80 percent dung." Thus the Bible is anything but infallible or authoritative. And even if the Bible was authoritative, it's still a fallacy to assume authority is always right. We all know that authority is often wrong. No authority has ever been infallible, either on Earth or in Heaven, so authority does NOT equal truth. Only the weak minded depend on authority to give them their "truth".

What Christians also never realize is that even if their Bible was divinely inspired by a supernatural being, that does NOT mean that the entity that inspired it MUST be the one and only Creator of the universe. In the 4th dimensional astral realm around us, are innumerable varieties of entities, many of which are parasitical and prey on us and deceive us. Any one of those entities could have inspired the authors of the Bible. There's no logical reason to believe that it had to be the one and only Creator of the universe. And even if God the Father did inspire the Bible, that doesn't make it infallible, because there's no logical reason to believe our Creator is perfect anyway. Since this world is imperfect and Creation is a reflection of the Creator, then it logically follows that the Creator must be imperfect as well. Likewise, since we are made in God's image supposedly, and mankind is imperfect containing good and bad qualities, that means that the Creator too must be imperfect and contain good and bad qualities. Again the logic follows. There's no way around this, oh and no the Fall in the Garden of Eden story doesn't get around that. Sorry.

What's funny is that Christians think the Book of Mormon or the Koran were inspired by a false entity or deceiving spirit, and hence a "false gospel" but they never consider that their own scriptures and Bible could also be inspired by a false entity or deceiving spirit too. It's a double standard of course. They can only attack other religions' texts, but never their own. Total folly.

The biggest CORE mistakes that Christians make are: 1) Not understanding the original meaning of monotheism, which is that we are all God within and connected to one ultimate source, which is plural in nature, not singular. Instead they take monotheism to mean that there is only one God somewhere "out there" that demands strict obedience and wants you to fear him and never wants you to think for yourself and wants you to loathe yourself. 2) Not being able to see the difference between God, the Bible and their religious dogmas and doctrines. They are not the same, but they cannot tell them apart. They see them as all the same, and take the Bible as if it were God itself when it is in fact a MAN MADE collection of 66 texts. Huge mistake there. 3) Taking most of the Bible literally when it was meant to be taken metaphorically. They do not understand that ancient people were not concerned with historical accuracy and spoke in parables and metaphors. They were NOT literalists nor fundamentalists. Neither was Jesus, since Jesus constantly repudiated the Pharisees' literal interpretation of Moses' law and interpreted them esoterically instead. Hence Jesus would likewise definitely NOT agree with today's fundamentalist interpretation of his words by evangelical Christians. That's the big irony Christians never see. Their fanatical gospel would never have been condoned by the real Jesus.

In the Christian model, suffering exists in this world simply because the first humans, Adam and Eve, ate a forbidden apple or fruit off a forbidden tree. That's it! One bite from an apple/fruit explains the whole world's suffering! 6,000 years (the age of the Earth according to many Christians) of the world's suffering, pain, misery, and death, all because of one bite from an apple or fruit! It's totally ludicrous if you think about it with a clear unbrainwashed mind, and perhaps the most nonsensical explanation in the world. I'm surprised that any mature adult would actually take that seriously. It hasn't the least bit of sense or logic or fairness, and sounds totally insane and unjust as well. If such an explanation were true, it would mean God is highly unjust and insane and best to be avoided. No one should want anything to do with a God who would punish the whole world with pain, misery, and suffering just because of a bite in an apple, which is trivial and inane. At best, the Fall in the Garden of Eden story is metaphorical or symbolic of something else, and cannot be taken literally for obvious reasons. One plausible interpretation of it that makes sense will be given later on in the Soul Farm Trap Model analysis.

I also recommend the historical works of Robert Ingersoll from the 1800s, who wrote many great treatises and articles exposing the absurdity of the Holy Bible that are hilariously funny, witty, and satirical. They're not only enlightening but entertaining as well. You can find them free online by searching for them. Many sites and online resources host them. I also recommend Irish philosopher and YouTuber Darryl Sloan's critiques on Christianity which are simple yet eloquent. His website and book is at: www.darrylsloan.com

Analysis of the Atheist/Materialist Model:

The Atheist model is out too because it explains nothing and cannot prove anything and does not even fit the data. It's just a lazy dismissal for those who just want to dismiss all religion in general as bunk without thinking. The obvious CORE problem with the atheist model is that chance and unguided processes can never create intelligent design or complex machinery or complexity, like human anatomy or DNA. No amount of time can allow that, not even an eternity. Many Creationists and Theists have proven that mathematically with the anthropic princple and fine tuned universe argument. By definition, design, pattern and structure negates randomness, so this is self-refuting and impossible. Moreover, life cannot come from non-life. Life can only come from life, as we all know. So again the atheist claim that life came from non-ilfe is impossible and nonsensical. Furthermore, the atheist model cannot explain consciousness or how it arose, since it is not necessary for evolution. All it can do is dismiss consciousness as an illusion, which is an assumption based on prejudice, bias and personal philosophy, not logic or science. Sorry but that just doesn't suffice for the real truth seeker.

In my opinion, this is the WEAKEST model because it explains nothing and offers nothing and is self-refuting in many ways and impossible and against natural common sense as well. Look up Dr. Frank Turek, a Christian apologist, who explains why Atheism is self-refuting in many ways in his books and lectures. I don't agree with his Christian views, but he does a good job of pointing out the flaws and contradictions of Atheism which are self-refuting.

Unfortunately, the scientific establishment and academia/universities in Western countries have adopted this Atheist/Materialist model as their dominant paradigm and are very DOGMATIC and hard-nosed about it, to the point where it has become their religion almost. Despite the fact that it CANNOT be proven using the Scientific Method in any laboratory experiment. That is very sad, illogical, and dishonest, and strongly indicates that their motive for doing so is based on prejudice, personal philosophy, bias, and agendas perhaps, not logic or science or neutrality or out of a desire for truth seeking.

For the best exposes against the Atheist/Materialist model and why it is heavily flawed and cannot be true, see the works, books, and lectures of Dr. Rupert Sheldrake and Dr. Dean Radin, author of "The Conscious Universe". Both are highly credible and renowned and debunk the materialist paradigm with sheer logic. Sheldrake's website is www.sheldrake.org.

In the Atheist model of course, suffering has no purpose or reason for existence. It merely is, and that's all. Like I said, it's the WEAKEST paradigm and offers NOTHING. Basically, Atheism is an intellectually lazy way to not even think about the issue and dismiss it out of hand. It's a form of denial, not truth seeking, so it's definitely not for those with a passion to seek truth. That's for sure. The average Atheist does NOT base his beliefs on logic or reason, it's just an excuse to hate and dismiss all religions as a whole, because they don't wanna deal with it. That's why the average Atheist has ZERO logical arguments or reasons or evidence to support their Atheism philosophy. It's merely a cheap way to dismiss anything outside of their material paradigm and is also a hate movement against Christianity. Hence it is NOT an intellectual or rational movement at all, but one of hate and denial.

For example, the books by the most popular authors of militant Atheism such as Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, and Christopher Hitchens, contain ZERO arguments that God does not exist and does not even try to give any. Obviously because they have NONE, which speaks volumes! And basically means that they have NOTHING to stand on, and hence is the WEAKEST paradigm of all! All they do is bash Christianity for its flaws and blabs about why religion is all bad and nothing good and has only caused wars and so therefore should be abolished, which is not true or balanced and way too one sided. Obviously there is good and bad in all religions but they are too blind and hateful and one sided to see that, so they only point out the bad and ignore the good. In doing so, they throw the baby out with the bath water and try to insinuate that since Christianity is bad and absurd, then all religions are bad and therefore no God can possibly exist. That's the only card they have, but it falsely connects things which are not the same. Because disproving Christianity is NOT the same as proving that no God or Creator exists at all. They can disprove Christianity all they want, but it still does NOT prove their contention that God does not exist in any shape or form at all! But they hope you are dumb enough not to realize that of course, and that you don't think for yourself, but blindly believe their BS fallacies.

In contrast, Christian apologetics books by Dr. William Lane Craig, Dr. JP Moreland, Dr. Frank Turek, and Lee Strobel do contain some valid logical arguments for the existence of God, such as the intelligent design argument, the anthropic principle, the prime mover argument, etc. So there is no question which side has more valid arguments. Theism wins hands down and the Atheists have been nothing but sore losers.

Essentially, Atheism is a HATE movement against Christianity, and that's why it always targets Christianity with disdain and ridicule, and not other religions. In doing so though, they throw the baby out with the bathwater, and presume that since the Christian religion is absurd and ridiculous and has caused wars, that therefore no God exists at all. That's an obvious fallacy, but since Atheism is a hate movement, you cannot expect rationality or logic from them. I do agree that Christianity is highly problematic and absurd, as I explained earlier, however creating a hate religion against it and using that to prove that no God exists at all is also absurd, and mentally unhealthy as well, since hate is never good for one's soul (even if they don't believe in the soul).

What Atheists don't realize is that they have no ground to stand on, because none of their heros and idols were Atheists like them. For example, their idols such as Isaac Newton, Galileo, Charles Darwin, etc. but those men were NOT Atheists. They all believed in God in some form, even if they were Deists and did not believe that God intervened in the world. But they were theists and believed in a divine Creator. So none of the Atheists' idols were Atheists, which is ironic and funny and only goes to show that none of the great minds of history were Atheists, hence they have no ground to stand on. In fact, the greatest geniuses in the world, such as Einstein, Tesla, Newton, DaVinci, Ben Franklin, Thomas Edison, Plato, Socrates, etc. were neither Atheists/Materialists nor religious fundamentalists. This means of course that the smarter and wiser one is, the more they see through the folly of both dogmatic Atheism and religion, and ascribe to neither, because both models stifle freethought and are authoritarian based, not reason based, which great thinkers cannot accept or align with.

All this shows just how foolish and empty and devoid of value Atheism really is. Hence why I say it is the WEAKEST paradigm of all with ZERO value. All it is is a HATE movement against Christianity and is guilty of throwing the baby out with the bathwater, which is intellectually lazy.

Analysis of the New Age School of LIfe Model:

The New Age model about the School of Life is interesting and pleasant sounding. However, it contains some obvious flaws which New Age intellectuals have not pointed out or considered, and surprises me because these flaws are obvious and apparent and do not require any deep thinking. Allow me to spell it out for them.

1. A school implies that you know you are in a school and you know what the rules and lessons are. However, we are not told by God or the Creators of the matrix that we are in a school or why we are here. That is very cruel and inconsiderate, to throw us here without us knowing why (or remembering why). In a school the students know that they are in a school and what is to be expected of them and what their duties are and what the rules are. Even in military boot camp, the cadets in basic training know why they are there and what the rules are and what is expected of them, and who their commanding officers are. But we are not told any of that by our creators or makers, who keep us in the dark, so how can this world be a school? Isn't that more like a prison? Or a Kafkesque labyrinth like in the movie "Maze Runner" or "Cube"?

2. A school does not contain excessive and unnecessary suffering, tragedy, or death. No one would enroll in a school that contained torture, violence, death, unnecessary pain and suffering, etc. In a school or training camp, you are given some pain, enough to teach you and help you learn and grow, but not an excessive amount that borders on torture and abuse, or even leading to death. Unfortunately this world does contain a lot of unnecessary excessive pain, suffering, tragedy, death, etc. A school would not contain that normally. No one would enroll in a school where you could be killed and tortured, at least most people wouldn't.

After all, what is there to be learned for those who are born in starving families in the third world, only to die young of malnutrition or disease? With no hope or chance to get out of that predicable? Nothing could be gained or learned from that. Either it's an accident out of God's hands, or a punishment from bad karma in a past life, or the result of a cold cruel universe with no sympathy, or of a cruel wicked deity or God, or an emotionally detached experimenter (like the brainy unfeeling aliens in the Star Trek episode "The Empath". It cannot be the work of a just all loving God of course. There's no way around this.

Furthermore, what would be the "learning lesson" from being mutilated or tortured to death, burned at the stake, drowning, or being hanged, drawn, and quartered in Medieval England for treason? NOTHING good could come from that, and no one would choose to experience those things, not even the most curious thrillseeker.

3. A school contains protection from teachers, staff, or security guards to keep the students safe. But as we all know, many innocent people in this world die or get abused, tortured, imprisoned, attacked, hurt, etc. No one protected these victims. So no, this does no seem like a school.

4. A school implies that you enrolled by free will or choice. Or your parents put you there. But we do not remember signing up for this "school of life". We were just born and do not know why we are here and have to figure it out with no conclusive answers. So again, that does not seem like a school, more like a cruel cold experiment or prison or joke or even a "Truman Show" entertainment for the designers of the matrix. Only in a prison is one placed against their will. And if we did something wrong to deserve being in this "prison matrix" we do not even know what it was, since we have no memory of our life before this one. Needless to say, it's cruel to put someone in prison without them knowing why. At least in our prison system, the prisoners know why they are there and remember the crime they committed. But we do not. Hence this seems more like a cruel experiment or entertainment for its creators.

This is a disturbing thought, but perhaps the reason why are not told why we are here, is because the truth would be too depressing and grim and would cause many to commit suicide and not even bother participating in this "experiment" and so it has to be kept secret? That's very disturbing, not pleasant of course, but would explain a lot. Instead we are given BS explanations such as "this is a school of life" or "this is a testing ground so you can prove that you are good and earn your way into heaven" or "this is a fallen world by a just all love God and it's all our fault because the first humans chose to sin" etc. because the truth would be too dark, grim, and unbearable to us? So we have to be fed lies and illusion and false hope to keep us going, to keep the experiment running so to speak?

5. Most people's lives are mundane and consist of a routine of work, errands, raising family, etc. They do not learn much lessons, and the lessons they do learn are job related or in school, which are tedious and involve rote memory only. Most people's lives are not like an adventure movie like Indiana Jones or a great hero's journey like Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars series. Most only experience great adventures in the movies, like Indiana Jones or Star Wars. The average American's adventure consists of a yearly family vacation to Disneyland and its rides and attractions. Other than that, the average life is very dull, routine, monotonous, and mundane, especially in workaholic cultures like China, Japan, Korea, and America. Average folks do not have any grand lessons or profound exciting truths to learn. If the average person's life was full of exciting adventures, like Indiana Jones or Luke Skywalker has, then the school of life model would have some credence. But it isn't. It's sad, but true.

Instead, the average person's life seems more like a slave labor camp than a school. They have to be slaves to their work, money, and they have to PAY to live. The average person has little to no freedom in reality (even if they are told that they have freedom by their BS media which only feeds them lies and illusions, as is the case in America). He or she is a slave to labor, work, paying bills, and is less free every year because the cost of living and inflation keeps rising, as if the system wants them to suffer and labor even more, which is cruel and wicked. Average people even have less freedom than animals in the wild, because animals in the wild do not have to pay to live and can get up anytime they want and do not have to conform to strict rules or schedules or pay taxes or pay bills. That's why many people dream of being an eagle which can get up anytime it wants and fly anywhere it wants.

Hence the average person's life is more like a slave labor camp, or even a concentration camp, than a benevolent "school of life" by an all loving Creator or universe. Yeah right. Get real. Come on. How delusional can you New Agers get? Why don't you wake up and smell the coffee? Am I the only honest thinking New Ager or Truther who sees the obvious and can think and apply basic logic? Sheesh. You folks make me feel like an intellectual giant sometimes, not to brag, but it's true. I don't get you. These things are all so obvious, so why do I have to spell them out to you???!!!

Now don't get me wrong. I would love for the School of Life model to be true. But it has too many major flaws to be taken seriously. I'm not saying this world does not contain lessons to be learned, of course it does, but that doesn't mean that the PRIMARY purpose of the creation of this matrix is to serve as a School or Classroom to learn lessons from. It just doesn't fit for the obvious reasons above. How can New Agers not see this since it's obvious? It seems they just go with whatever is popular and feels good, because the notion that all our suffering and pain in life is part of some "grand lesson in a cosmic school" sounds nuturing and caring, as if the universe cares about them and has a good reason to allow all the suffering that they endured. After all, no one wants to suffer without a purpose, people cannot accept that they suffer for no purpose or meaning, they are only willing to suffer if there's some grand purpose or plan involved in their pain. So they have to believe that it's all for some grand lesson or purpose. Otherwise they could not endure it. So this School of Life model is understandable, but it makes no sense and contradicts basic logic and is too flawed.

I will analyze the other models later in another post.

To continue on:

Analysis of the ET Experiment Model:

The Ancient Aliens theory of human origins has now become part of pop culture, especially with the long running series "Ancient Aliens" on the History Channel. But it's been around for a long time. Erich von Daniken first popularized it in the 1960s when he published his "Chariots of the Gods" book series. Then Zecharia SItchin popularized his Sumerian Annunaki alien theory of how humans were created as a slave species to mine gold for the Annunaki aliens, in his book series beginning with "The Tenth Planet". Over the years, a lot more evidence has come out to support this alien intervention theory, in archaeology, palentology, genetic evidence, missing links in evolution theory, ancient myths, legends, and drawings, ancient monuments and structures, etc. So it's a lot more plausible now than ever. Especially since many alternative researchers and UFO enthusiasts have made it mainstream, so it's not just a subculture anymore. Even Hollywood movies and TV shows like "The X-Files" have turned it into pop culture.

The theory sort of makes sense and we do seem like some type of weird experiment. Many sci fi movies have this theme too, as well as Kafkesque movies (e.g. Maze Runner, Cube) and Twilight Zone episodes. Charles Fort, who coined the term "paranormal" in the 1920s, came to this conclusion too after traveling the world and investigating unexplained phenomena. He said it was the best explanation for our world. Some in the UFO community have posited this too, such as the legendary UFO hunter Linda Moulton Howe, who has appeared on Coast to Coast AM and Art Bell and the Ancient Aliens series many times.

If we are an experiment, then the administrators must be cold and unfeeling, like the brainy alien experimenters in the classic Star Trek episode "The Empath". All they cared about was the experiment, not about the suffering of the unwilling participants, or the lives sacrificed during the experiment. And of course, the Alien Abduction phenomenon supports this model too, since the Grey Aliens do do terrifying experiments on abductees. Many credible researchers such as Harvard psychiatrist John Mack and Budd Hopkins, who investigated this from a skeptical approach, discovered that the phenomenon is real after all based on all the extensive evidence they collected.

* Warning: This part below may be very creepy and disturbing:

There's one creepy reason that lends credence to the Experiment Model: It's the fact that we are here without being told why by the puppetmasters or architects of the matrix. We are born and have to conform and never told why by whoever runs the matrix. This indicates that we are in an experiment, because if the controllers told us why we were here, it would ruin the experiment or compromise it. In contrast, if we were in a School of Life like New Agers claim, then we would be told so and what the rules are and what is expected of us. A school doesn't keep its students in the dark. But if we are in an experiment then it would compromise the experiment if we knew the purpose of it. In other words, the fact that we aren't told why we are here by whoever designed our reality, means that it must be some kind of experiment whereby us knowing the purpose would sabotage it. It sort of makes sense if you think about it, but it's kinda creepy, because we don't know what the purpose or intent of it is.

A good movie example of this is "The Maze Runner" where a group of youngsters are put into a giant maze and do not know why. At the end, when some of them manage to escape and reach the exit, a TV screen comes on in the control room and the director comes on the screen and explains what the maze experiment was all about and why it existed. Before the escape, they could not tell the participants the reason for the experiment, because it would compromise the experiment. So maybe our matrix is kind of like that too. We are not told the purpose of the experiment, because it would defeat the purpose of it, so that may be evidence that we are in an experiment?

Another disturbing possibility and thought is that if we knew the purpose of the experiment, we may not like it and might go crazy and quit life or even kill ourselves. If so then it would not be in the interest of the experimenters to tell us why we are here. This again is very disturbing to think about. It may run chills down your back too.

The good news we can take from all this is that if this experiment is important (and it probably is) then the controllers will not allow the world to end in some nuclear war or meteor hitting the Earth or some apocalypse. Because they would want the experiment to pan out to see what happens. They'd be just as curious about how things turn out as we would if we were running an experiment like this. Especially if they invested a lot of time, energy, and resources in our experiment, they would want it to carry out to its conclusion, whatever it is. Or at least be curious enough to see what will happen next.

After all, this world probably is interesting to our controllers, otherwise they would not have created it and be running it. So they have a vested interest in keeping it running. To them, "the experiment must go on". This means that most likely they will not let the world end in some disaster or apocalypse or nuclear war. This is why every global threat doesn't pan out. For instance, the world was on the verge of a nuclear war in the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, which didn't happen. And in the 70s the population explosion was expected to the end the world but it didn't. Now the threat is global warming or a pandemic or whatever. None of these threats really end the world, perhaps because those who run the matrix make sure it doesn't. So we have as consolation I guess.

I guess that's the only good news we can count on. But that depends of course on whether you want this world to continue or not, and whether you want to be constantly recycled to live more lives here on Earth. Some do not of course, some want out of this matrix, so they may see this as bad news or neutral news.

In this model, there is no explanation for human suffering. It may be part of the experiment. Or it may be an accidental byproduct. Or it may be punishment to keep the slave species in line. It's not clear.

To learn more about the Ancient Aliens intervention theory, look up the works of Erich von Daniken, the most passionate researchers on the subject and the original popularizer of it. As well as the works of the late Zecharia Sitchin. Also see the long running TV series "Ancient Aliens" on the History Channel. And see the lectures and books by the late Loyd Pye (whom I had the pleasure of knowing in person) who was another great pioneer in the Intervention Theory and head of the Starchild Project. Pye's lectures were superb and can be seen on YouTube.

Analysis of the Soul Farm Trap Model:

This one also fits the data and would explain a lot. It also does not contradict the ET Experiment model of course, since we can be both an experiment and a food source/battery at the same time. They are not mutually exclusive. The Matrix movies depict this kind of model, where humans are used as batteries by a giant A.I. system. It was first made public in the UFO community by UFO buff and CIA pilot John Lear, who told Art Bell about it on his show. Lear said that the Near Death Experience was a false light trap that lured you into the light and recycled you back on Earth into a new body so you can be used again. Art Bell always said that that gave him the chills. There is a good website with a lot of info on the false light trap, by Wayne Bush called Tricked by the Light. The URL is: www.trickedbythelight.com

Since the macro is usually a reflection of the micro, there is some logic to this. Just as we feed off animals and plants that are lower life forms to us, then higher life forms above us could be doing the same to us too. It would be karmically justified too, since we are predators and parasites too, as all life in the third dimension are. So this would explain the purpose of our suffering, to feed higher entities. Not very pleasant, but it does make sense, at least a lot more than the Christian model or New Age School of Life model would.

Also, all ancient religions and cultures talk about mind parasites and spiritual entities that feed off us and manipulate us. In Gnosticism, they are called "Archons", in Islam they are called "Djinn" and in Christianity they are called "Demons" of course. They have many other names in indigenous tribes. These spiritual parasites are eloquently mentioned in a key section of Carlos Castaneda's book "The Active Side of Infinity". I highly recommend looking it up. Robert Stanley has a lot of info about the Archons, including photos of them, on his website here: www.unicusmagazine.com . On YouTube, many truthers talk about them too, such as David Icke, Jay Weidner, Jeffrey Daugherty, John Lamb Lash, Robert Stanley, and Jerry Marzinsky. Look them up if interested.

If you study OBEs (Out of Body Experiences) you may have heard of Robert Monroe, who wrote some books about it. In them he mentioned that while out of body, he was told by beings that our world is a "loosh farm" where loosh is extracted from us to feed spiritual parasites who generate fear and negative emotion in us to suck out loosh from us.

A great classic Star Trek episode which fantastically illustrates this model is "Day of the Dove" where an energy orb traps Kirk's crew and the Klingons on the Enterprise and incites them to hate each other and fight each other for all eternity, while it parasites energy off the hate and fear on both sides. Every time one of them gets killed or injured, the orb heals them so they can be reused as a battery for the orb to parasite off. At the end, Kirk and the Klingons laugh off the orb and it leaves the ship, because laughter is not an energy it could feed off of. It's a superb sci fi metaphor for how Archons and spiritual parasites work in our world. A must see in my opinion, if you haven't seen it before.

In this model, the purpose of human suffering is practical. We are a food source and energy farm. It's just business for the 4D parasites that feed off us. Just like when humans eat cows, pigs, and chickens, it's just business, not necessarily evil. In a practical way this makes sense, because if you ask the Sherlock Holmes question "WHO BENEFITS?" like a good detective, you will realize that our society is obviously engineered to maximize FEAR, STRESS and NEGATIVE emotions in the populace. It is too consistent, deliberate, and calculated to be a coincidence. So it must be planned and purposely engineered. That begs the question: Who benefits? And since an all powerful Creator God would not need to parasite energy off us since he or she has an unlimited supply of energy, then that means that only entities that have limited energy and need to parasite it off others must be the culprit. That logically points to energy parasites such as the Archons, Greys, or Reptilians from the 4th dimension or lower astral realms. Remember these are negative 4D entities who are on a predatory "service to self" path, not higher benevolent beings fro 5D and above. Note that this is not necessarily evil, because parasites are just trying to survive like any other living creature in 3D or 4D. For example if a mosquito or tick sucks your blood, it's not because it's evil, it's just trying to survive in the only way it knows how.

Also consider this: When you are in a state of fear, you feel drained. Watch a good horror movie and see what I mean. The movie may be fun but afterward you usually feel depleted and sluggish, because the fear emotion you experience during the horror movie drains you of energy. That's probably why so many horror movies are made, to drain you? Now where does that energy go? It has to go somewhere. Most likely some entity or parasite sucked it out of you, that's why it encourages you to watch horror movies or live in fear all the time as much as possible. Notice how when you live in fear, you sense that something likes it and encourages it.

According to many Truthers and New Agers, the global elite aka the Illuminati, are in league with these parasitical entities or Archons. They probably have a pact with them that goes something like this: The elite agrees to engineer society to extract maximum stress, fear, and negative emotion from the general population, so that the Archons can feed off us for their sustenance. In exchange, the Archons give the elite power and control and help retain their power, as long as they honor their part of the deal. It's a symbiotic relationship that's mutually beneficial between predators and tyrants. If true, then it would make sense and explain a lot of course, such as why society and the media seems always gung ho on keeping everyone living in fear as much as possible. We can see this on the news in America everyday, for example. It cannot be that way by accident. Everything happens for a reason and is calculated, even if you don't see it. The controllers know what they are doing and have everything planned and engineered behind the scenes. They are playing 4D chess in other words.

For more info about our energy extraction matrix and how it came to be that way, Robert Stanley recommends the Wes Penre Papers and the Divine Secret Garden book series, which are available for free download online at the websites below:

https://www.wespenre.com
https://www.johnvpanella.com (also contains free audiobook versions of the ebooks for you to download or stream)

The Cassiopae Transcripts and the books of Laura Knight-Jadcyzk also have a lot of info about the ET Experiment Model and Soul Farm Trap Model. See her book "High Strangeness - Hyperdimensions and the process of Alien Abduction". It is one of the most bone chilling and mind blowing books you will ever read about how ETs such as the Greys and Reptilians are parasiting off us and experimenting on us from the 4th dimension or density. There is an audiobook version of it on torrent sites if you wanna listen to it for free. If you believe in the soul trap or ET experiment model, it will confirm everything you ever felt about it. Here is a website about the Cassiopae Transcripts if you wanna read them, they are channeled material from beings of the 5th or 6th dimension and are considered by many to be very credible.

https://www.cassiopaea.org

I'm sorry if this Soul Trap model sounds very hopeless and depressing. The good news though is that there are ways to reduce suffering. Some of my quick tips for reducing the suffering in your life are:

- Don't take anything seriously. Treat life like a big joke and cosmic game. See the world as in the Shakespeare quote "All the world is a stage". As long as you don't hurt others or hurt yourself or do anything illegal in the process, no one will care if you see life this way.
- Study and practice the teachings of Zen Buddhism and Taoism, and do some meditation based on their teachings. Learn to detach and let go, per their teachings.
- Read good books like "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle which has a lot of good advice on reducing suffering and detaching from negative thoughts and problems by "living in the now".
- Listen to great Zen philosophers like the late great Alan Watts. He teaches you not to take life seriously and to learn from Zen wisdom. There are countless audios of his lectures on YouTube that you can listen to for free.

To continue on:

Analysis of the Computer Simulation Model:

This one is very interesting too, and is popularized by the Matrix movies. Even Oxford professors like Nick Bostrom take it seriously and claim it is a near certainty that it is true. Professor James Gates claims that he has found error correcting codes in our reality at the quantum level, which is a smoking gun, because only computer programs contain error correcting codes. Every year there is more and more evidence to support the simulation hypothesis. One obvious supporting evidence is that since quantum physics claims that matter is 99.99 percent empty space, that that implies that the universe is an illusion and has holographic properties. That points to a simulation or digital nature of our reality. For the latest updates on the simulation hypothesis and the arguments for it, see interviews with Jim Elvidge on YouTube, and/or visit his website at: www.theuniversesolved.com. He makes a good solid case for the simulation theory and why it has a high chance of being legit.

However, one obvious problem with this model is that computer simulations do not have conscious self-aware characters. Video game characters are not self-aware as we all know. They do not think or dream or imagine or have Near Death Experiences or have free will or creativity either, and it is not necessary for them to be able to do those things. Unfortunately, proponents of the simulation hypothesis don't address this and act like this problem doesn't even exist. Again, I don't get why people miss such obvious things. The only way to make consciousness and the simulation model work is if the simulation is organic in nature or a quantum computer that contains organic properties. Or is a hybrid of consciousness, spirit, and digital holographic properties all in one. Or one that allows a conscious being to interface with the matrix using an avatar as a body, like we saw in the movie "Avatar" or "Tron" and "Tron Legacy".

Also, a digital apple created by a computer cannot have any taste on our tongue's taste buds no matter how many pixels it has. It has to be real to have some taste. (unless our taste sensation are programmable too lol) So again, this matrix may be a combination of organic, spiritual, and digital properties to resolve this.

Moreover, as explained earlier, most people's lives are a drugery of routine involving work and slavery to jobs and money, without any cool adventure, grand lessons, or profound meaning. So there would be no point in wasting resources or energy to simulate such a monotonous routine that most people live. Why would the matrix need money to feed it? It should only need a constant power source to keep operating. In addition, masses of slaves laboring away everyday for money in a monotonous routine would not be entertaining for the creators of the matrix or SIMS game. After all, would you watch a movie or play a video game that consisted of boring mind numbing routines on the screen only? Of course not. That's why movies have to be interesting, exciting, and stimulating to be interesting and worth watching. They have to serve as escapist entertainment from real life. But most people's lives are nothing at all like the movies. So what would be the point of such a simulation? There's no escapist entertainment in that. If the simulation is a test, what would be tested by that? The matrix should not need money to function, since money is illusory, so why would it maintain such a meaningless mundane existence of drudgery for most of the world? Why not just delete them from the matrix and only allow interesting characters to exist in the simulation? You gotta wonder. Again, none of the proponents of the simulation theory have addressed this. Probably because it's not politically correct to say that "most people's lives consist of monotonous drudgery and mind numbing slavery to work and money" I'd imagine. lol

This model does not contain any explanation for suffering in this world. So we can only speculate. Maybe it's part of the game or test or experiment? Maybe it's supposed to be a teaching tool that got out of hand? Maybe our admin are cold and cruel and don't care if they make people suffer? Maybe all they care about is the experience or objectives of the program? Kind of like the cold unfeeling alien experimenters in the classic Star Trek episode "The Empath"? Or maybe they are sick bastards who derive entertainment from watching others suffer? Who knows.

Analysis of the Hindu/Buddhist Eternal Cosmic Cycle and Wheel of Karma Model:

This is very interesting and based on old Eastern cosmology and wisdom. I've always had great respect and awe for ancient wisdom that is timeless, because it represents some source knowledge that we've lost. New Age groups and Theosophy by Madame Helena Blavatsky includes this model too. I cannot prove or disprove this model, since it involves long cycles of thousands and milions of years. But it does make some sense since the macro reflects the micro. For instance, a day in our life contains a cycle of morning, afternoon, evening, and nighttime. And a year contains the cycle of the four seasons, which repeat every year. In that case, the day is a reflection of the year: Morning represents Spring, Afternoon represents Summer, Evening represents Autumn, and Nighttime represents Winter. Likewise, the Great Year cycle would be a bigger macrocosm of this cycle which consists of 25,000 years. We also see this principle in atoms, solar systems, and galaxies. In atoms, the particles spin around the nucleus. Likewise, in a solar system the planets revolve around the sun. And in galaxies, the stars revolve around the galactic center. So we again see the macro reflecting the micro in principle.

If true, then this model is good news because it says that we will eventually come out of the dark ages of the Kali Yuga cycle and up into the Bronze Age which will be a lot better for us in every way, including higher consciousness. After all, what goes down, must come up at some point. It can't stay down forever. So that's good consolation for those who are in a down cycle in their life, or for our world too. Astrotheology also says that we are heading toward the Age of Aquarius, or that we are in it now (depending on who you listen to since when exactly the Age of Aquarius starts is debated). Supposedly that is a good thing because the Age of Aquarius may bring us to higher consciousness, whereas our Age of Pisces is dualistic and based on division.

In this Eastern model, suffering exists because it's part of the wheel of karma, rebirth, and reincarnation. It exists because of our craving, desires, and attachment, and can also result from bad karma from past lives too, all of which is standard Buddhist teaching. In Hinduism though, desires are ok as long as they are kept in moderation, so their view of suffering is merely letting things go out of balance in some unhealthy extreme. Buddhism is obviously more puritannical when it comes to suppressing desires.

Now I do believe in karma and from my research the evidence for reincarnation is very staggering and compelling. So I believe in both. I have experienced instant karma many times, because I hear, that those on a spiritual path usually get their karma delivered to them very fast, within 24 hours usually. I've experienced this in striking and specific ways that can only be described as "poetic justice" and sometimes with exact numbers too. Too precise to be chance. Now it is true that the more desires and cravings one has, the more suffering will come with it, because what goes up must come down, and one cannot be in a state of pleasure forever. Pleasure and pain are two sides of the same coin, so they will follow each other. So this does make sense.

However, there does seem to be an unjust flaw in claiming that those who suffer misfortune must have bad karma from a past life. First, it's victim blaming and insinuates that the victims must be at fault. We don't know if that's really true or not. If it's not then it's a cruel thing to do. Second, even if it's true it's still unjust in a sense, because to punish someone for crimes or misdeeds they did in a previous life that they do not even remember is a bit cruel and unfair. After all, how would you like to be punished and not know why you are being punished? Would that be fair? Shouldn't you have a right to know why you are being punished? So this seems to be a moral flaw in Eastern religions and the law of karma.

I think karma is definitely real, since I've seen it work in profound poetic ways. But the problem is, it does not seem to be consistent or work the same for everyone. Many evil people for example, prosper from their bad deeds and corruption, yet get away with it and remain wealthy. They don't seem to get punished, at least not that we can see. Perhaps they are on a different path, such as the "left hand path" and so the laws of karma are different for them when they are on the dark path (like the dark side of the Force in Star Wars?) than for those on the light path? Who knows. How karma works is very debatable and varies depending on who you ask. Some see it as a balancing act, not a system of punishment and rewards. Others see it as a meeting of yourself in other people. Regardless, it's kind of like astrology, it may not be perfectly consistent or linear or predictable, but it is not totally random either, there is definitely real something to it. That is the open question for now.

Ok that's it for my analysis. What do you all think? Any comments or opinions?

You forget the most reasonable model:

- We can not know.

The beauty of this model is that there is no mental masturbation and bullshido kung fu.

The other models we did hear from it but it became extremely boring and annoying because it wastes time of our lives and helps to grow depression and procrastination. It is basically cancer.

A non-existent model is not a model. Sorry. You may be happy to remain ignorant like a dog, and in lower consciousness. But not everyone is like you. Some people are curious truth seekers. You gotta understand that truth seeking is in some people's blood, such as me. You cannot understand unless you have it too. Kind of like those who risk their lives climbing Mt. Everest. It's not logical and is a waste of time and very dangerous and can kill you. But those who do it, do it because it's in their blood. They say you cannot understand it otherwise.

You also gotta understand that your opinions are yours only. They do not go for everyone else and they are not fact.

It's true that we may not be able to figure out everything, but we can figure out some pieces of the puzzle, which I have been doing for the last few years, and I am merely sharing what I've discovered above. The Truther community has been discovering new things every year. With each piece of the puzzle, we have a bigger picture of what's going on. Why do you want everyone to stay ignorant and dumb like you? If you aren't interested, then ignore this thread. But saying that it's insignificant or a waste of time is counterproductive and doesn't help and tried to invalidate the quest of the truth seeker, which you cannot relate to.

These points and analyses have been racing in my head for months now. So I need to hurry up and get them all down on paper before I forget them. I may turn all this into a book someday or feature them as main articles on a new website. So I am laying it all out first since there are many points and arguments I wanna make that I may forget later so I gotta do it now. There is a purpose for everything I do.

Moreover, there is a saying in the Cassiopaea transcripts above, which is that "knowledge protects". So if entities are feeding off us and manipulating us and exploiting us as in the Soul Trap model above, then knowledge of them will help combat them and protect us. Ignorance definitey will not, and in fact, ignorance would be what they want. So you are playing into their hands. Yet you are too ignorant to realize that, unfortunately.

You falsely assume that what goes for you goes for everyone. Atheists wrongly assume that because they don't need God or spirituality, that no one else does either. That is obviously false and stupid. Some people have no inner light or inner virtue and need organized religion to be good, otherwise they descend into evil or chaos. This is especially true of those in prison and that's why the Christian gospel is popular with them and they are drawn to it.

Gali your main fallacy is that you presume that since YOU do not need God or religion, that no one else should either. You FORGET that other people are DIFFERENT from you. In reality, many people do NEED God or some form of religion to fulfill them. Just because you don't, doesn't mean they don't. You keep forgetting that. It's very ignorant and foolish and narrow. You are no different than the Christian dogmatist who believes that since he or she needs God, that therefore everyone else needs him too. Both you and the Christians are fallacious in your assumption that what's true for you must be true for everyone.

Re: Why Are We Here? 8 Models of the Purpose of Our Matrix and Suffering and My Analysis of Them

Post by Winston »

I forgot an 8th model. Here it is. I will add it to the above list.

My analysis of it:

Pantheism and God's Dream Model:

Personally I ascribe to Pantheism, because it makes the most sense and resonates with me. It's also what many ancient religions, spiritual systems, and mystery schools for initiates only taught. And in fact, the wisest and most spiritual people in the world seem to ascribe to it too, often after a lifetime of searching for spiritual truth. They eventually come to Pantheistic conclusions about the nature of God, and realize that God is not some external being out there who judges you and wants you to fear him, as Christianity and Islam claim, but the collective life force of everything in the universe, including us. Many of the greatest minds have ascribed to Pantheism, such as Plato, Aristotle, Carl Jung, etc. The fact that most honest spiritual seekers and philosophers come to Pantheism in their search lends strong credence to it of course. So I think Pantheism is closest to the truth, if not the truth. Other variants of it are Pandeism and Panpsychism, which also make sense and are plausible. You can research these terms and variants if interested. I will discuss them in the next section.

The "We are God's Dream" explanation is also part of classic Hindu cosmology, and is related to the previous model and exists alongside it. Since I love and respect Hinduism, Vedic wisdom, and Indian culture, I give it some weight or credence too. It is also popular in New Age circles and in the UFO community too. In the New Age book series "A Course in Miracles" this model is taught too. They teach that God decided to forget himself and turn into us and everything in the universe, including rocks and inanimate objects, in order to have experiences and rediscover himself. So we all have amnesia and do not remember that we are part of God and part of the pluralistic multi-faceted aspect of God's dream. This is understandably popular because it is a feel good paradigm that makes us feel like since we are part of God, we will be taken care of and everything will be ok, and plus it feeds our ego too, because many people like to think that they are God or a part of him. So naturally this model appeals to many people.

Note however, that in Hindu and Vedic philosophy, God is not like the Judeo-Christian version of an all powerful deity outside of us somewhere. The Eastern concept of God is different. It's more Pantheistic and says that we are all emanations of God, like the characters of a novel are part of the author's mind and imagination. So it doesn't mean that we are powerful deities, but merely the artistic creation and emanation of the mind of God, in infinite variety and plurality. Because God is plural in nature, not singular as in monotheism, and has infinite faces and emanations and manifests in infinite forms. This makes more sense than monotheism, because clearly we see in nature around us, that the universe must be very pluralistic and full of infinite variety, because we see immense variety in nature and in the animal kingdom, and in human ethnicities and cultures. And since Creation reflects the Creator, then the Creator must be very pluralistic as well, in infinite variety. So Pantheism makes sense and reflects what we see in all of nature and creation.

This model also says that since we are part of God, that we can create life too, not just babies, but our minds can create thought forms as well, aka "tulpas" which are sentient beings. We are also thought forms created by God or gods. Basically, they say "If someone didn't dream us up, we would not exist". Note also that in Hinduism, the different and many deities are all emanations of the one God Brahma. So in that sense, the Polytheism in Hinduism is actually Pantheism in that the many gods are emanations or parts of the one God.

Now, the God's Dream model sounds great, makes sense, and fits what we see in nature and creation. However, there is one big obvious problem that isn't addressed. And that is that: Some of the suffering in this world is too horrific, extreme, barbaric, and excruciating for anyone, even God, to have chosen to endure. Let me ask you this: Would you want to experience as part of your dream or simulation, horrific things such as: A slow painful death, being hung, drawn, and quartered in Medieval England for treason, being burned at the stake during the Inquisition, drowning to death, dying slowly as a beggar in the third world of malnutrition and hunger? No of course not. No one would want to experience that, even in a dream or simulation. Even the biggest thrill seeker, the type that says "I will try anything once", would not want that. So why would God? This makes no sense of course. And New Agers do not address it, perhaps it is too harsh for them to deal with, and they tend to want to see the world through lovey dovey rose-colored glasses.

Or maybe from my limited perspective, I'm missing something. Maybe from a higher perspective, these things are ok? That's probably what New Agers would say. Who knows. I don't pretend to know everything, so maybe from my limited human perspective, I am missing something about all this? Regardlesss, this major flaw I pointed out is a valid question nonetheless. So you gotta wonder about it.

I guess one way to reconcile this is to give up the notion that God must be perfect and all knowing and never make any mistakes. If that notion is dropped, then we can surmise that God simply did not know what he was getting into or what would result from his wanting to experience everything. Maybe it's a learning lesson for God too and he did not foresee all the evil and bad things that would happen from his little amnesic dream experiment? Maybe God has a lot to learn and this is his first time orchestrating such an experiment or dream world, and so he has a lot of bugs to fix and work out? After all, why can't God make mistakes too? He doesn't have to be perfect. That's merely an assumption from organized religion. There's no logical reason why any Creator must be perfect, and by definition a Creator does not imply perfection. Do we assume Bill Gates is perfect just because he created Microsoft? Of course not. Also, as explained earlier, Creation is a reflection of the Creator, so if Creation is imperfect, then it stands to reason that the Creator must be imperfect too. And since we are made in God's image allegedly, and we are imperfect, then logically God is imperfect too. Only those who are brainwashed by authoritarian systems such as Abrahamic monotheistic religions, are required to assume God is perfect. There is actually no logic to that, it's just a way for you to be obedient and compliant.

In the book "When Bad Things Happen to Good People" Rabbi Harold Kushner concluded at the end that if you can accept that God is not perfect and all powerful and cannot stop everything bad from happening in this world, then you can let go of a huge burden and of your need to blame God for your problems and suffering, and hence forgive him for his imperfections. It was the only way that Kushner could explain why bad things happen to good people in this world, which is seemingly unjust. Maybe he has a point there. If he is right then it would explain a lot toward reconciling the flaws in these models. Maybe God isn't perfect after all and has a lot to learn and lot of bugs to work out too, just like we do. It's definitely more realistic and sensible than the notion of a perfect God who makes no mistakes being in charge of a crazy unjust world like ours, which does not hold water to any clear thinking person.

Update:

I added some more paragraphs to each of the analyses above of each model to include each model's explanation for human suffering and the purpose of it. I figured this was an important aspect since the question of "why we suffer" is a classic timeless question that people have wondered about since the beginning of human history. See above for the new paragraphs that address the purpose or cause of suffering.

Another model I forgot to include:

Analysis of the Deism, Pandeism, Panpsychism Model:

I'd venture that if a great genius like Einstein believed in this model, as well as the Founding Fathers of America, then there must be merit to it. (See here: http://nationalhumanitiescenter.org/tse ... /deism.htm) What Einstein said in his quote about God is that he believed the universe was ordered by some divine intelligence for sure, which you can see all over the cosmos. However, he did not believe in a personal God that we could talk to or answer our prayers. This does make sense though, since we do not see God intervening in world affairs on a large scale. He may do so on a small scale, but then again, that could just be the collective manifestation of many people praying or manifesting their wishes using their own powers of co-creation. But you never see God stopping corruption, bad government, halting world wars, helping the poor, etc. So our Creator does seem very passive. Either he can't intervene or he won't.

In the Deist model, suffering of course would be out of God's control. It would just be a natural part of the organism we call God. Just like we have cells that die everyday in our body that are replenished, it's merely a natural cycle that we have no control over. Likewise, God cannot control everything either. So you gotta cut him some slack and stop expecting him to be the all-powerful, all-knowing, perfect God that has absolute control over every atom and molecule, like Christian tradition depicts. No one can measure up to that. It's an impossible standard.

There's also Pandeism, which blends Pantheism and Deism, and means that the whole universe is God, like a cosmic organism. However, God cannot intervene or interact with each of us personally, hence his Deistic nature. This doesn't mean though, that we cannot have angels, spirit guides, entities, or deities (gods with a small g) interacting with us and answering our prayers of course. That is always a possibility that other entities that are higher up can intervene and help guide us. Just not the almighty God that is the whole universe. If you think about it, Pandeism fits what we see in nature. If it holds true that the micro reflects the macro, then this simple analogy will help you see why:

In your body are 30 to 40 trillion cells. Your mind is the "God" of all those cells. Now, if those cells tried to pray to you or talk to you, could you hear them and reply to them one by one with your conscious mind? Of course not. Likewise, why would you presume that God could hear your prayers and those of billions of others around the world, let alone other planets and star systems? Think about it. So it would be unrealistic to expect God to hear you or talk to you one on one. Now, do you consciously manage each of your trillions of cells and their functions and duties? Of course not. An automated system in your body does all that. Likewise, it's plausible to assume that some automated system (maybe even A.I.) manages all your body's cells, organs, and systems. God cannot be everywhere at once, neither can Santa Claus go to every house at once in one night. Only an automated system can be everywhere at once. Therefore, if the universe is God's body, and we are all cells in God's body (or our planet is one cell in it?) then the same would hold true as in our bodies. Hence Pandeism has some plausibility and fits what we see in biology and nature.

However, I think the model that fits reality best is Panpsychism, which is that the universe contains consciousness everywhere in it, as if every part of the universe were alive with a spirit, similar to the Animism of Shintoism and indigenous tribal cultures, which believed that everything has a soul or spirit. See here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panpsychism. Panpsychism allows the material universe to exist alongside with consciousness and psychic phenomena. The great pioneer of consciousness and telepathy research Dr. Rupert Sheldrake subscribes to Panpsychism as the best model to explain the nature of consciousness and psychic phenomena in the universe, which works according to a principle he calls "Morphic Resonance". Visit his website to learn more: www.sheldrake.org. Ancient Greek philosophers such as Aristotle and Plato also believed in Panpsychism and Animism. So did the great Carl Jung. Hence, if such great minds have ascribed to it, then it must have a lot of credence and make sense. See below:

https://www.patriciaballentine.com/post ... anpsychism
Panpsychism is a philosophical and metaphysical term that means ‘everything within the Universe has a ‘consciousness.’ An essay from Metascientist describes panpsychism as “a philosophy based on the notion that you cannot arrive at consciousness without consciousness being fundamentally present to begin with.”

The term panpsychism is derived from the Greek pan (all) and psych (soul, mind) and is one of the most ancient philosophical theories. Although the term was not coined until the 17th century, Greek philosophers had embraced some form or version of panpsychism for centuries prior. Thales of Miletus, credited as the first great Greek philosopher, and one of the Seven Sages of Greece, hypothesized an early form of panpsychism. Aristotle attributes the quote “everything is full of gods" to Thales. Early Greek philosophers believed that if things were alive, then they must have a soul. Ancient people around the Mediterranean believed that all natural actions were caused by divinities.

Plato embraced a version of panpsychism in the form of anima mundi or ‘world soul.’ Plato’s quote “this world is indeed a living being endowed with a soul and intelligence….a single, visible, living entity containing all other living entities, which by their nature are all related” exemplifies the assertion that Mother Earth is a living, conscious being with a soul. Although the earth does not fit into our scientific definition of ‘life,’ many feel She is a conscious entity.

The works of 19th and 20th century philosophers furthered terminology such as consciousness, mind, matter, and the scientific definition of life; however, many concepts still embraced elements of panpsychism. Carl Jung wrote that “psyche and matter are contained in one and the same world, and moreover, are in continuous contact with one another” and that it is probable that “psyche and matter are two different aspects of one and the same thing”.

If no one here cares then why do you care? lol. It doesn't matter if anyone here reads it or not. I told you I am posting it all here to document it on paper so I can turn it into an ebook or treatise or book later. I need to record it all down on paper now while it's all still fresh in my head so I don't forget. So I am archiving it all as I've been intending to for months now. You don't understand how active my mind really is. :P All these arguments and points have been racing in my head for months now. So I need to document it all before I forget. Didn't you hear me? To me it's like being "divinely inspired" from above, as these ideas are flowing into me from above, from a creative core in the universe, like Tesla said. lol. Same reason why the authors of the Bible felt they had to write everything down that was being channeled through them too. lol You've never had creative ideas flow through you like water before, so you wouldn't understand, since you are a biological robot without a soul and without connection to higher realms. Like an Organic Portal. lol. Too bad. But not my fault. :P
