You’re probably going to die with some debt to your name. Most people do. In fact, 73% of consumers had outstanding debt when they were reported as dead, according to December 2016 data provided to Credit.com by credit bureau Experian. Those consumers carried an average total balance of $61,554, including mortgage debt. Without home loans, the average balance was $12,875.

The data is based on Experian’s FileOne database, which includes 220 million consumers. (There are about 242 million adults in the U.S., according to 2015 estimates from the Census Bureau.) Among the 73% of consumers who had debt when they died, about 68% had credit card balances. The next most common kind of debt was mortgage debt (37%), followed by auto loans (25%), personal loans (12%) and student loans (6%).

These were the average unpaid balances: credit cards, $4,531; auto loans, $17,111; personal loans, $14,793; and student loans, $25,391.

Debt Rescue identified three areas where outstanding debt is most prevalent among South Africans:

Personal loans (94%)
Credit cards (84%)
Store cards (76%)

the fact that debt is not on their homes means I dont feel sorry for them. They are buying shit they dont need. The only thing you should borrow money for is a house, which appreciates. For cars drive old ones and keep getting a better one. You dont borrow for a depreciating asset.

My debts are financed houses. They are bringing in rent which is higher than the debt payment.

Also, we need to distinguish ' debt' from financing. Most of the world runs on credit and finance. If you use it wisely, it's not a bad thing at all.

I think that's one conclusion a person can come to. My conclusion is that it is an invisible form of slavery. Probably the only advantage Americans have is the relative buying power of the US dollar overseas in third world countries.

The worst part of that is the poor borrow money at much higher interest rates. Like I can borrow at prime -2%. If I were stupid enough to borrow. But If something made prime +2% it would be worth borrowing to invest. If you are poor you have to borrow at prime +3 or 4%. It is expensive to be poor.

A rich man may borrow 1 million at pirme -2%. 1 million poor men borrow 100 000 each at prime +4%. and then stick them with card debt at much higher interest rates. The rich man will repay it quick. The poor man will toil 20 years to repay so his total interest for each poor man is higher than what the rich man paid on a bigger loan. Which is the better form of usury for the jew? exploit the poor and keep them in debt. They are dumb enough to fall for it as they want the same as the rich man has, and they want it now, even if they must borrow. The rich man did not get rich by borrowing for depreciating assets at high interest rates. He built up and put money into things that bring a return.

You know I realized something about America, something I suspected and know from a very young age. The whole country is designed to strip you of everything. EVERYTHING. They promote individualism, liberty and equality & freedom above all else. What do you think this will do to relationships, Christianity, the family, or society?
Do people actually stop to think...among the revel of the orgy of fun, they are having? You're told you can do whatever you want here...the kids are instructed to fight their parents, rebel and to 'not be told what to do'. What sort of an insane, careless society is that? The parents are instructed to lay off their kids, stop "interfering" with their lives, and let them do whatever they want to do, not providing any interference or support. Let me ask you, what kind of kid grows up knowing exactly what's right and wrong, what he should do, etc? Does that even make sense? What kind of animal does this in nature? Where is such a cold dynamic ever at play...it's completely unnatural - it feels AWFUL, not only that, for the parent and the kid.

They learn that "they don't have to get married". I'm sorry, but isn't it something we overlooked in this massive and giant effort at toleration...that some people MIGHT WANT TO GET MARRIED? What about that fact some people, most I'd say need guidance and support from families. They need to have families period. They need love and correction.
We need religion and God.

I have to wonder do the parents even think? It is insane. Did parents think that what they're raising would be a dead end, the way they were raising them, did they let media bosses bully them into "raising their kids" a certain way?
