Two things missing from the story: the father of these two assholes, and the XX praising this guy for coming to her aid.

The father is probably unknown, who cares anyway about fathers?

But who is this woman who has been attacked? She should be a very important witness in this case. Not very thankful of her to stay away in anonymity, anyway he is dead. - Or did police tell her not to speak in public for some reason? These might be gang members and she might be beaten up for talking too much.

This case is still under investigation, for sure police was talking to her too, I guess.

This man made clearly serious mistakes.

You have to call first for the police, and after you are sure, police is on the way and if you really want to risk it, go slowly nearer to this woman and these 2 dangerous men.
