I had wondered why the RT screen translation didn't match the translation of her twitter post.

Average Americans are accused of being "du.mb" and that it's easy to brainwash them.

'Average' Russians are way dum.ber then and the lies on TV and in newspapers are much more brazen and insolent-- of the 1930ies Goebbels variety. The Russians love cooking up total out-and-out lies that even the dum-best American would be able to see through.

But even if she did not lie, one can understand the anger-- you have citizens of the country born in the country whom the country raised and for whose education it had paid. They are now shouting "Russia, Russia!" and want to join that country. That's treason.

Anti-Ukrainian propaganda is Russia is just as bad as the anti-American one if not worse. They really take people for fools though. Once the published some video of Ukrainian missiles found in Georgia and showed Ukrainian writing on it but even a fool would see that it was in Serbian.

The fascist thing on the Maidan is way overblown. There were all parties represented there and in Ukraine they vary from Nazis to hard core Communists. There was a Jewish brigade led by an IDF soldier and these Nazis were taking orders from him. There was an Armenian guy who died.

As far as that video, do keep in mind one shocking thing- they were talking in Russian to each other which is what most people in big Ukrainian cities like to speak- same as the Irish prefer speaking in English.

I wonder if the Russians would have been able to doctor a video in Ukrainian or if these would be talking about such things in Russian to begin with. Food for thought.

I think the random American would be hard pressed to distinguish the various Slavic languages from each other, spoken or written.
If it has "3" in the alphabet and some "backwards" letters -- it's "Russian".
The romance languages (ok, mainly Spanish) would be better differentiated, though.

Nope even with the romance languages..the Average American can't tell the difference between Spanish and Portuguese spoken or written..when spoken they sound nothing the same.

They are saying that it was a Ukrainian weapon- but it's in Serbian. You are saying that an average American can't tell different Cyrillics apart. An average Russian can't either. You give him something written in Serbian or Ukrainian and they look the same.
