I remember my parents taking me to Sears when I was kid and it was still the holy grail of shopping. This just another indication the US economy is on its ass.

Stories like this always make me think of those people (young and old) who insisted the economy could function on a services model at the same level as it did on an industrial model -- then cheered for Slick Willy as the factory jobs were shipped off.
