Girlfriend’s shoe shopping drives man to jump to his death

She made him shop ‘til he dropped — seven floors to his gruesome death.

A man reportedly fed up with his girlfriend’s marathon, five-hour shopping spree, jumped to his death from an upper level of a Chinese mall.

Tao Hsiao, 38, had been carrying bags for his shopaholic gal pal around a busy shopping mall in Xuzhou, in the eastern province of Jiangsu province, according to the Daily Mail in London.

When the girlfriend asked him to come with her to one more store — for a shoe sale — Tao lost it, witnesses said.

“He told her she already had enough shoes, more shoes that she could wear in a lifetime and it was pointless buying any more,â€￾ one witness said.

“She started shouting at him accusing him of being a skinflint and of spoiling Christmas, it was a really heated argument.â€￾

The shouting match then took its tragic turn when Tao tossed all the shopping bags and jumped over a balcony safety railing, dropping seven stories.

He clipped several holiday decorations on his way down, before impact and death.

The argument’s shocking conclusion, sent terrified shoppers scrambling. First responders said Tao was killed in impact.

A mall spokesman said he’s relieved no one else was hurt.

“His body was removed fairly quickly. He actually landed on one of the stalls below and then fell to the floor so although the store was damaged it meant he didn’t hit anybody,â€￾ the mall’s rep said.

“This is a tragic incident, but this time of year can be very stressful for many people.â€￾

Poor soul, if only he knew he had options besides her, but I'd imagine he had more stress then just her going on.
