I prefer rense.com... It's the primordial ooze of news sites.
But when you start getting to the bottom of things, you really don't need to know all that much in the world. A serious story a week, a couple hilarious ones, and then you're good to go.

Some folks are able to predict the next couple weeks of news after looking at one story.

Much of the "news" you hear is a curtain to what's really going on, and then the nitty gritty is pretty simple to understand.

For example, the crisis in the middle east. It's really a case of Israel vs. Everyone else who isn't allied with Israel, and anyone who opposes their rule gets bombed, army'd or get their regime changed through "democracy".
