Here is an interesting article I found today that said Brazil is now the sixth largest economy in the world overtaking the UK. Brazil managed to take Britain's spot as the world's sixth-largest economy last year, behind the US, China, Japan, Germany and France.

In 40 to 50 years--maybe even earlier--the developing world (namely in Asia and Latin America) will reach developed level status equal to the West. So, this is not at all surprising...
