That makes some sense psychologically. But why do many Christian fundamentalists do the same, always predicting the Antichrist and Second Coming of Jesus in the book of Revelation, and always believing we are in the last days? Many of them are normal middle class people with families. Why are they addicted to the Last Days prediction too? Christians have been saying we are in the last days for the last 2000 years, including Jesus' original followers.HouseMD wrote: ↑March 24th, 2021, 3:17 amPeople like him long for the end of days because they feel the world has wronged them, and seeing such a world collapse would be a form of vindication. Even if Taco lived another thousand years, and his predictions always failed, would he ever realize he's wrong about the world ending and admit to it? How many times do your predictions have to fail before you admit that they were wrong?
Question: Remember the USSR collapsed in 1989 and their currency collapsed too. How come that doesn't happen in the US? And why couldn't the USSR prevent that? Why didn't Russia have its own Tacos to warn them in advance of impending collapse?

Because evolution created a cultural meme to give meaning to life otherwise there is a danger that people do not care about life and get extinct. Still the suffering is present and many Christians are tired of life and wish that it is over.Winston wrote: ↑August 20th, 2021, 8:06 pmThat makes some sense psychologically. Russia had a largely internal economy that wasn't tied to the rest of the world. This is the reason for their failure where China ended up succeeding, and why America isn't falling apart- so long as you're critical to the global economy, your currency has value.Winston wrote: ↑August 20th, 2021, 8:12 pmEven if Taco lived another thousand years, and his predictions always failed, would he ever realize he's wrong about the world ending and admit to it? As to your other question about perfectly happy Christians believing in the end times, this is because they desperately neex to feel that the sacrifices they have made in restricting their behavior have meaning and weren't pointless, and that the heathens will pay for not similarly restricting their behavior. That and many aren't particulatly happy internally, as they always want for more with a greed that is quite un-Christian and which can never be satiated. Humble Christians that don't believe in prosperity gospel and which actually live their lives in accordance with Jesus' teachings (taking care of their fellow man, not judging others, not focusing on material wealth) almost never seem to believe in the end times because they are fulfilled through the word of the Lord rather than by promises of wealth in the next life or feelings of bitterness toward nonbelievers

The collapse won't happen until something crashes the dollar. There's a lot of speculation what that will be. Cyber attack or debt default would probably do it. In the meantime, I'll try to provide more off topic content to keep you entertained...Winston wrote: ↑August 20th, 2021, 8:12 pmEven if Taco lived another thousand years, and his predictions always failed, would he ever realize he's wrong about the world ending and admit to it? China shut down all the private English schools and tech companies a month ago. Then they announced the discovery of 2 huge oil fields which means they no longer need US dollars to buy oil. The largest real estate company in China is almost bankrupt.

The commies can't go bankrupt, they just counterfeit more money. It's the fools who cannot figure communism is for fools is the real problem.Taco wrote: ↑September 3rd, 2021, 4:46 pmChina shut down all the private English schools and tech companies a month ago. The internet will need to be shutdown in order for the great reset to happen. The world is extremely dependent on it which will likely result in the deaths of millions people around the world that depend on the internet for commerce. This will happen soon.
