humans think they really clever, right? They think that speaking several languages equates to intelligence. But if they are so smart why did they not prevent the continuous fall of civilization, ancient Egypt, Israel, Babylon, Greece, Rome? If they are so smart why did Prometheus have to teach them to use fire? The truth of the matter is humans are not so smart and really dont understand what is going on. Ignorance leads to misjudgements, misjudgements lead to defeat. So what misjudgements have the humans been making?

I think the story of Prometheus is probably a myth. My feeling is that fire probably was discovered independently by various tribes at different times.
