Right Yohan. Plus Chinese are NOT violent people by nature. You can go anywhere in China, even to poor areas, late at night and you will never get mugged or attacked. Chinese like to yell and shout, but they do not get physical and attack people. Russians on the other hand, can get violent and physical if they feel like it or if provoked. So they are violent by nature. But Chinese definitely not. The macrocosm is usually reflected by the microcosm, so the basic Chinese character reflects onto the whole nation, because in a sense a nation is like a giant organism.
Chinese people, yes - but the Chinese government with a president for life in power are two different things - however the Chinese government is by far more business-like acting than Russia.
HongKong was no issue, it was anyway a part of China, nobody was disputing this.
But Taiwan is not HongKong. Of course Taiwan can be taken by China anytime, but the result after is unpredictable - it's not only about USA and Japan, but others, like South Korea, Canada, Australia, and even EU will follow with trade sanctions and it's not worth it to go ahead for now....
India is not a friend of China, and not to talk about Vietnam....etc.
In case of a military confrontation, US-and Japanese warships are by far more powerful in combat than some Russian tanks somewhere in Ukraine in the snow even unable to move on with soldiers who are 18 years old....
US/Japanese warships are indeed large monsters with a horrible firepower. They can destroy entire ports/factories/bridges etc. within a short time and nothing will be left.
Japanese warships are built a little bit smaller than the US equivalents. But still their size is remarkable.
The Japanese Navy has about 154 ships, 346 aircraft and 50,800 personnel (without Air Force, Ground troops, without coastguard ships)
One of the largest Japanese Navy ships - KAGA (helicopter/aircraft carrier)
