I would probably recommend not thinking about it too much. God tests our fidelity to our woman and he does so in subtle ways before testing us in big ways. The people who talk about the merits of “giving in to raw instinct” have lost their soul to the devil.

Appreciating a compliment of course is not adultery but if you think too much about it then that doesn’t lead to a good mindset. God has blessed us with the women he has put in our lives and if we don’t sufficiently appreciate his blessing and allow our mind to wander into sinful territory it may be taken from us at any time.

No, it is prohibited for men to commit adultery also, which they do by f***ing a female married to someone else. A married man f***ing some whore did not constitute adultery. This is why Jewish law required husbands to have sex with their wives with a certain minimum frequency depending on their occupation but made no such requirement of the wife. This was because the husband had the option of f***ing whores if his wife wasn't putting out enough but the wife had no such legal option. Similarly under traditional English law one of the few grounds for divorce was that the wife could divorce her husband if, as a young man, he could not sexually perform. Once again, a man married to a frigid female had the whore option, whereas the wife had no other legal option, so divorce in that circumstance was considered acceptable.

On the subject of English law, here is a historical example of a man not only being permitted to have sex with whores but actually required to do so by a court in which his wife was trying to divorce him to prove he was not impotent.

You do realize this is very different from the statement “it’s not adultery to f**k an unmarried woman.”

In Medieval Times you could annul a marriage if either partner refused to fulfill their marital vows (aka, regular sex). And yes, men going to prostitutes is not nearly as bad other forms of extra-marital sex. But ultimately it’s still adultery. A less severe form of it, sure, not deserving as harsh a punishment, sure. But truthfully the man should take this issue up with a priest rather then running off to the brothel. If you encourage that then it will be men’s first instinct when the first instinct should be to see if there’s any way the marriage can be fixed.
