Re: Yakitori in a dark alley by Shinjuku Station

If anyone is going to Tokyo I stayed in the Shinagawa Prince Hotel 3 times, choosing the 2nd cheapest tower. The staff are great in this hotel. It's an awesome location if you want to travel (being directly opposite a huge station), but there's not much nightlife there.

Last time I went I stayed in Shinjuku (Shinjuku Washington Hotel), the room was very small but there's much more nightlife (although difficult to make the most of if you don't speak or read Japanese). The staff were less friendly and check in took ages.

The girl I was meeting stayed in a really small place round the corner, you can probably get good deals on these smaller hotels but they're less likely to speak good English.
I was Happier Abroad for a while but Covid killed that off.
