I hear you and what you write is not wrong at all. It makes sense, but HappierAbroad will not die because of it.

There are many reasons why young females are in many countries the minority and young men outnumber them sometimes by a remarkably high margin, like in China and India, because of wrong politics.

Only a few countries I know offer more young females than males - if Russia and Ukraine continue like that there will be a surplus of females, because of the war...however the status of a widow is difficult to judge - many have children.

Colombia is also known to show up with 1 million women more than men, it is said, this is because of very violent gang activity.

Not so well known is Nepal, but interesting Nepal is the # 1, about 55 % of the population of its 31 million citizens are females.

There are usually about 3x as many gay men as there are lesbians. Now if you have LGBT ideology running rampant like it currently is in the US and Western Europe, it doesn’t help because a lot of women become political lesbians or are bisexual but if things are allowed to play out naturally. The small minority of men who are gay will make up for most of the imbalance.
