Unhappier Abroad - OK to go back to USA?

Whatever happens to the USA politically or economically it will need truck drivers. Rest assured.

It will need some, but those currently there seem to be getting the shaft for the most part. Sure, this will ruin the economy and result in disaster, but that seems to be the intention.

What do you see that causes you to state such hyperbole?

Depending on who you read from, there is a trucker shortage in the USA currently.

Apparently a lot of truckers who are "independent contractors" paid by the load can't make any money due to constant delays as a result of the covaids bullshit. Hence the shortage is in fact mainly a shortage of chumps willing to work for nothing.

Bingo. You're spot on. Only minor detail is that I was always paid per mile not by the load. But it's essentially the same. If you're not moving and just sitting around waiting on loads, then you aren't making money.
