The difference between rich and poor is growing everywhere I think, not only in the States.

it seems the middle income population - not poor at all, doing fairly good in general and no need to consider every single dollar but also far away from being rich - is declining. Either people are getting poorer (the majority) or people are getting richer (the minority).
