I think they should post a realistic 10-step plan to making it work out.

Even a holiday, some of these people are f***ed, no job, no prospects, no confidence, but of course, some of the worst wankers should be given the boot - Mercury is by far the worst.

But I want to see a 10-step plan when they first post, they don't or they carry on talking about 'toxic America' or whatever boring shit they love to talk about then kick 'em off.

I would agree in principle. However, with most countries closed to foreigners or preventing locals from leaving for leisurely reasons, it seems a bit unfair to penalise new members for being unable to plan their trips or life abroad.

True, most adventurous travellers travel and live abroad regularly. Yet, some of the younger and more financially challenged people may have nothing more than frustration and anger to express. Maybe "the dream"...

How would you know if they went abroad or not? If there was such a rule wouldn't everyone just lie and claimed that they went abroad, and also claim that they dont wanna post photos as proof because of their privacy? Lol. A rule like that would be so easy to get around. Why you so judgmental Marcos Zeitola? Lol

We have our travel and time machine with the internet, I have not seen a place with people I considered a big deal as of yett. When the commies get done it will all be the same and we will see the world in black n white... Color will be banned except for the ruling class.

As I have stated before at least in America we still have guns.

We know only what the person signing up with this forum is willing to disclose in his profile and comments.
We do not know if he has been abroad before or not, if he is from the States or not, if he at least has travelled around within the States which is a fairly large area, if he has been abroad but only as a marine on a ship and has nothing really seen etc. etc.

I would say, everybody is welcome - as long as he (or she) is not openly trolling like PAG/Spencer and makes fun out or is verbally attacking other members.

Lot's of people ASPIRE to live overseas, but doing so is no small feat. It takes years of preparation, income saving, etc. to finally pull the trigger.

Some of us have an "abroad" lifestyle. Some of us don't.

This board is no longer even about living abroad anymore. It has morphed into a malcontent forum full of the "Sky is falling, elites control us, woe is me, everything is a conspiracy so nothing matters anyhow" vibe.

The substantive living abroad commentary has shifted to Digital Nomad and Location-Independent forums.

I don't think it's about whether or not the poster has been abroad. It's more about what kind of person the poster is. There are posters on web forums who are around to share information and converse with others, and there are posters who post on websites for other reasons. I prefer to post to exchange information rather than for other reasons.

Also, if there are posts from certain someones that I don't wish to read, usually I just skip over them. And if I happen to read them, usually I just don't respond to them. I try not to let anything bother me or move me one bit.

True, Asia is not for me. Too humid, too congested, too dirty, too many neglected stray dogs, and the little brown women don't strike my fancy. But different strokes for different folks. Marcos isn't the only one who likes it there.

These types of people who are all talk and no action exist everywhere. I have no idea what the point is to join something and never do it or if they did and didn’t succeed the first time. Try it again and take advice and learn from it. When me and my friends graduated high school and we’re all hanging out after a party one late night and we all were talking about going to Alberta and getting work and making big money. Everyone was pumped and excited. Then when September came rolling around and the summer was over and it was time to go out into the great blue yonder. Everyone made excuses of why they weren’t ready or didn’t want to go because they were busy with something else. I was the only one that went. When I came back a few years later. I had a lot of money in the bank and anything a young guy could want in their early 20s. But I noticed something. All my old friends weren’t happy. It’s like they were bitter how successful I was. They were Pessimistic and Negative. I was even cool enough to take care of the bill at the restaurants and pubs because I was trying to show them there was more to life then this small run down town. They said why would they need to leave when their family and friends lived there. I said ok. It’s good to play things safe and stay in the comfort zone. When I went to the bathroom at the pub. I looked in the mirror and realized that I had outgrown them and why bother wasting my time with people who Just want the same thing they grew up with. I don’t blame them for not wanting to go out into the world because it’s a big And crazy place. It’s not for everyone.

I think a lot of the guys here who never went anywhere or will do anything about their situation want to go but just are to afraid to get out of their comfort zone. It’s easy to say they are going but soon learn that time passes sitting on a keyboard and just writing and before they know it...they just say..meh..I’m too old now to go. It’s gotta suck because I’d rather go out and see what I got then not try at all.
