Navy Sub Commander fired over prostitutes in Philippines

I am a retired Army Colonel, and I just cannot figure out why these Commanders get all stupid.
This Submarine Commander ruined his career with this event.
Plus, the Commander was probably married...probably divorced now.
Stupid to do this.

He shouldn't have flaunted this so openly. He had 10 f***ing prostitutes in public in front of a hotel, and other soldiers were there. Obviously someone was gonna find out.
Should have just hired one, brought her to his room, and not run around flaunting her in public like an idiot. Or just go to a brothel, ALONE. Then he wouldn't have been caught.

Not a good look in the eyes of the troops he commanded. But on the other hand, there is no reason (other than femo-supremacy) why prostitution is illegal.
