As bad as Americans are today, America has the world's best constitution which has, so far, protected free speech. Are there any other countries in the world that have free speech?

On PAPER, Americans have lots of freedoms. The guarantees aren't all that trustable in America, though. The cops just DO shit. The schools just DO shit. All the time, there is simply an application of influence. They go & exert energy, regardless of any promises or quality issues.
Businesses tend to be the same way. Look at insurance- they seem to generally not pay when it's a large expense & that's the very thing people worry about when they get insurance. At least when it's not mandated, which it frequently is.

I do not see any restriction here in Japan either. Internet is not censored, what you cannot find in Japanese press, you can look up somewhere else without any problems, no restrictions regarding travel, to transfer some money out of the country etc. You can also leave if you don't want to stay here anytime etc.

I do not see any restrictions on speech in Chile....
Look up the Heritage Foundation index of economic and political freedoms. Chile is the best in Latin America, and among the best in the world.

I would agree, based on your post. Based on my experience, it seems pretty free. Since when are most laws in Latin America enforced? Lol

I understand that many countries leave people alone by default. But free speech means being able to challenge accepted views openly. I would be arrested in most countries for publicizing my views. By this criteria, China and Philippines do not have free speech.

Who says there's free speech here? Your life can be utterly ruined if you speak out against gay marriage, abortion, or feminism.
