Anyone have experience with foreign seo?

Post by zacb »

I have been thinking about two niches in Brazil and in Russia. How should I approach this? Should I put up local content? Or would links to American content be alright for all intents and purposes? Thanks

And are forums easy to outrank, just like the US?

I work in SEO and can provide some tips. You want to build some strong backlinks by buying High Google Pagerank (PR) domains that expired.

http://workwithdavidwood.com/the-best-s ... -for-2013/

You can find them using ExpiredDomains.net or FreshDrop.net

Also, try using SEnukeXCR. It' expensive but many local SEO companies use it for 12+ clients and they are very satisified.

Basically, you should put up some local content, translate it in English and the local language, then start ranking for keywords.

I use SEMrush to research niches but the free Google Adwords keyword tool is fine as well.

Once your clients start moving up the search engines, then you will get word of mouth business and leads from Google.

Also, register a good short domain name.

And if you want to take it to the next level, you can negotiate a local affiliate deal with the companies:

Hope this helps!

Wow, thank gibraltar. That's really great advice. Most of what people say on the subject is total bullshit. Please, keep posting here.

High quality backlinks work for websites all over the world.

The fundamentals of SEO don't change.

Get high pr dofollow backlinks for cheap at fiverr.com

On Fiverr, just search "high pr dofollow" and "high pr blog", you're looking for dofollow backlinks with a pr above 1.

Be very careful with SeNuke.

For ANY website to work you MUST have TRAFFIC.

High PR dofollow backlinks will give you TRAFFIC.

You MUST get these backlinks EVERY month to have backlink velocity which the search engines love.

Mix your dofollow backlinks with some nofollow backlinks and you're good to go.

Monitor your website rankings at webtrafficspy.com and alexa.com

The lower the number, the more traffic you are getting.

Don't let ANYONE tell you any differently, you MUST generate traffic for your website to be successful.

Okay, I was wondering looking at the high PR backlink thing. It makes sense, but I was worried about the sites losing PR. Well the guy gives some great tips to prevent that such as simply rebuilding the site as it was when it gained high PR. I still have a question though.

But doesn't Google penalize you for linking between sites that you own? I thought Google penalizes website owners who have two websites on their hosting profile and link between them.

I'm not sure about that kind of penalty but dofollow backlinks are what Google and the rest of the search engines love.

The PR or your own website doesn't matter, it's just a label.

How much traffic you get is more important than your websites PR.

It's just that you want high pr backlinks connecting to your website.

You DO want a variety of anchor text.

The sellers at fiverr will this for you. When you have a variety of keywords, it will make your backlinks look more natural.

So you want: high pr dofollow backlinks and a variety of anchor text/keywords

Go to www.webtrafficspy.com or www.alexa.com and look up the most popular websites that get the most traffic, you will notice that these websites have TONS of backlinks.

OR, you can just add quality content regularly to your website every month and let your website gain backlinks naturally.

That's what Lisa Irby did at www.2buildawebsite.com

You guys are over thinking and over stressing, as long as you are not getting a lot of crappy, spamming, low pr backlinks, you'll be fine.

Once again, be very careful with SeNuke blasts. They have been known to produce lots of low quality spammy links.

I tried them on my websites and they didn't do as good as the high pr dofollow backlinks.

Yeah, thanks Maker. That's pretty much where I'm at now too. I have maybe 35 pages on my site now and like 100 easy win keywords for my niche...my goal is to get to 50 pages and use all the keywords. Then I'll just start targeting them with backlinks.

Link you posted was the wrong one Maker. This is Lisa Irby's site. She seems legit.

"One way to build longevity online was to build a content hub that teaches people how to do something."

She's using the same method I am.

Great, you're on the right track.

Remember, once you get these backlinks, ping them at www.pingfarm.com that way, they will get indexed by the search engines quicker.

Also when you get these dofollow backlinks, link them to your inner pages, not just your home page for this will make them look more natural.

What do you think about using SeNuke indirectly? I figure the type of links you get depends on what you tell it to do when building. To play it safe though, couldn't you just create a good quality Squidoo article linking to your site, then use SeNuke to send a ton of links to the Squidoo article? That way even if SeNuke produces bad links it doesn't go directly to your site.

That can work.

You can send them to another page containing your link.

I would be careful about sending SeNuke links directly to your website.
