I've never been to Vancouver but I lived in Ottawa, Toronto (for a brief while, thank goodness) and Montreal.
Ottawa is a decent place I must say. It's too boring and quiet for young people but you can usually find decent well paying jobs and the real estate market is not ridiculous.
Toronto is a hellhole. Rents are expensive and salaries are nowhere near New York level. Many people like to compare Toronto with New York because the financial sector is booming but trust me, you'll never make as much money as someone in New York and Toronto does not pull the same "glamour" as New York. For many it's just a stepping stone before moving to the US. The dating scene is only for those who can afford it, lots of money hungry women and men stepping on each other's toes.
Montreal is a bit special. It's got the best "social vibe" out of all 3. Rent and university courses are dirt cheap but good jobs are hard to come by. You need to speak at least English and French to get a crappy entry level job so even though you might be better qualified than someone in Toronto you'll make 30% less.
The fun only lasts from about June to end of September but local women are just as f***ed up as in the rest of North America. While they are more open to dating immigrants, piss-poor douchebags, hipsters and other specimens (as opposed to Toronto) they just slut around. Finding a f**k buddy/one night stand is not hard if you go out a lot but finding a soul mate it's almost impossible. It's a perfect city for sex starved people but not ideal for raising a family.
Immigrant women come in all shapes and colours. I had the most success with French and Spanish women, they seem to be the most liberal. Others only date guys of the same nationality. Asian guys seem to be doing well here in Montreal dating other Asian women. Ironically, even though I was raised in Romania I never dated a Romanian girl in Canada. I tried my luck with a couple of them and they both said that they don't date Romanian guys...so yea, f**k you too. Romanian women in Romania are an entirely different species.
Another redeeming quality is a good amount of affordable top class escorts. Most of them are university students in their early 20s and the police turns a blind eye to these kind of services. It's not legal but it's tolerated. Plus, Montreal has a ridiculous number of strip clubs (most of them controlled by the mafia) and massage parlors (with plenty of Asian chicks). I don't think I'm wrong when I say that people in Montreal have more sex than the rest of Canada. Unfortunately it still doesn't compare to places like EE because of feminist laws, entitled bitches and bitching around from the different ethnic groups.
Finally, French Canadian women are not very different from their English counterparts. They have attitudes and princess mentality and they are as feminine as a rock.
