marklambo wrote:You beat me to it because I was about to post a thread about the same topic. This is why I've stopped posting in here as much. Happier Abroad is starting to feel like a depressing and negative forum. Me personally, I'm doing things on my own to create my happiness abroad. I've been traveling to different parts of Mexico, have a trip booked and set up for Ukraine in March. Every time I log on, all I see are people whining and crying about everything but yet most don't seem to plan or do anything about creating that happier abroad lifestyle for themselves...not to mention the childish name calling. This is supposed to be a forum for adults, not 3rd grade kids.

I understand that it's not easy for everyone due to their own personal circumstances, whether it be financial, personal, family, etc. But for those that are unhappy, don't try to bring the rest of the people down. I'm not pointing fingers at anyone...I'm just saying in general and I admit that I've been guilty of posting some negativity here and there...we all are. But we should try to be a little more positive about what can be waiting for us on the other side of the spectrum. Yes, America in general is a shithole, and yes Western women, especially American women are bottom of the barrel pieces of shit but this should give us enough reason to actually try to make some moves, at least some traveling. There is always a way if you actually sit down to plan it out. Come on guys, let's just be a little more supportive for each other and positive about everything.
You are right, Mark. This forum really is way too negative which is why I hardly come here anymore. There is simply too much ignorance and nonsense. I am also guilty of a few outbursts too. Albeit, the negativity stems mostly from a sequence of events in our lives including the knowledge that we learn that our culture is indeed partly to blame for our bad luck with women. Not 100% because I believe we are in control of our thoughts and actions so some critical thought must be given to our failures if we could've done something different at times. We should be more supportive of each other to go abroad to meet someone special, but we are too busy projecting our bad situations on each other to think twice about it. It is good to know that some of us are actually doing it such as yourself. I am hoping to go abroad this year. It's just tough to find the free time for it.

I love being in Asia! I can travel to any country around here, for a relatively cheap price, and enjoy the sights and sounds of many countries in this part of the world.

I will only go back to the States for a few months every year, just to get things settled with paperwork and other things like that. But, other than that, I will NEVER permanently settle in the U.S. of Gay, for any reason ever again!

All the negativity on this forum is mostly coming from pro-USA/pro-Western types, and people who are stuck in their homeland's desperate to get out; so I can understand some of their negativity being spewed on this forum, but all I can do is laugh at some of their posts, while I'm enjoying myself overseas, wondering why people aren't being more pro-active in their quest to be "Happier Abroad."

Tomorrow, Mel and I are going to do some oyster shucking training, for a contest in Mass, in the spring time. I'm rather happy in the homeland, as I think the problem is with heterosexual Yankee women, not our continent or what have you.

Mel and I see h*es up in Canada, to satisfy our monthly cravings. Otherwise, we're two happy persons.

We've even eaten raw seafood off naked women's bodies, so it's quite a fetish (or treat)
Many years ago, the Best Picture of 1999, "American Beauty", telegraphed the message of Happier Abroad to the world.

Beware of long term engagements with AWs, you may find yourself in a coffin.

AB discussion thread

BTW, despite settling down with an AW, myself, the warning is still in effect.

I stopped posting because I am living in FSU for over 2 years already and LOVING IT. Reading stupid shit about fat ugly American women makes me sick and this is what most of HA forum turned into.

I followed my dream and reached success. I wish you guys do the same.

Please share some more information on your experiences guys.
1)Too much of one thing defeats the purpose.
2)Everybody is full of it. What's your hypocrisy?

I'm no longer some free therapist or travel agent to give you useful advice. In the past guys just took my advice and didn't give me any payment or even a "thanks." So now I rarely help anyone unless they've taken time to be my friend or done something for me.

You lucky thing! Are you still having a good time or has it ended by now?

Bao3niang wrote:When I first joined HA, I noticed that the posts were very insightful because they came from intelligent people that HAVE actually been abroad. However, nowadays I am beginning to notice more trolls and total idiots that just RANT all day while hardly doing anything to actually realize their dream of going abroad and dating foreign women.

If this were really HA, why all the negativity? I am wondering HOW many people on this forum have actually succeeded, because I'd say over 60-70% actually DON'T want to leave the Anglo world and would rather sit in front of the computer and whine all day. Winston has mentioned very clearly that the purpose of this forum is to promote GLOBAL DATING, but I see so many pickup artist types that only care about getting laid and still have the Western mentality when it comes to dating.

How about actually trying to be serious and getting a decent woman instead of just releasing sexual frustration? Pick that, and a lot of you here would have already found real love.
