For the record, I would love to attract "Fresh Off the Boat" women. I've had a lot of conversations with my buddies here in Washington DC that the years 2001-2007 vs 2009-present were like night and day.

It's definitely a head scratcher but the years of GW Bush were an active dating period for men, while the Obama years seem to have produced the current situation. Very weird, but not impossible.

I hate to tell you, but it was around 1991 when Madonna sang "Don't go for 2nd best baby" when the US dating scene went to hell - I think it was because then women got "more rights than men" - women could sue for sexual harassment, child support laws got very tough, women got custody over 90% of the time, etc. All these rights made women thinkthey're better than men and no longer wanted tomarry and act reasonably. In the 1980s AW were marriage material (except in big cities like NY).

This is the shift I noticed, and things got steadily worse after this when"stalking" laws were passed, when Police always arrested the man after domestic violence was alleged (not proven)... the dating scene followed these changes.

I totally agree - dating in the USA is the worst that it's ever been & guys have to leave the USA now as it's so bad. However, guys need to live all their lives in her country. Taking a foreign woman to the USA doesn't work as she will turn into an AW in 1-2 years of living here.

Polya, the period 2000-2007 was really good for men. I'm a short guy and I didn't even have to do anything at all, in clubs girls would look at you and approach you on their own. The stories I have from that period are incredible especially the years 2005 and 06. All of my friends had the same experiences.

I prefer a guy I'm comfortable with, who makes me happy, isn't too critical or argumentative, likes to do stuff with me as I'll be happy to do stuff he likes as well. A relationship strain happens if I don't get enough attention or time, then I'll start missing him like hell & that's never a good thing for me. No offense Winston, but I think it's hella stupid for a female to have any males name tattooed on them....especially a lover. -_-

Mainly you never know whats going to happen. Plus the women(ditz) who do get tats for love often end up not with that person after a certain period of time. So your left loveless and with a momento that won't come off...that'll suck.

In certain cases sure since it is a personal choice. I could see girls doing it for the love of their lives and for lovers they were deeply in love with, but lost. Or the other case would be couples do it for marriage. Sort of like a lady would wear her hubby's name in honor of him. Somewhere so not out in the open.

For me personally as kinda romantic that may seem, it just represents a brand of sorts. Even if there was someone I was crazy for (there might be) I still wouldn't wear their name on my skin. It would be a bit embarrassing....
