Since then it's become obvious the system is rigged for women and minorities in America and then at the very top it is a small group of males who run it all and are doing this.traveller wrote: ↑April 29th, 2023, 10:31 amIn Illinois, women in fact earn 71 cents for every 1 dollar a man earns, at the exact same job, too.Moretorque wrote: ↑October 22nd, 2014, 11:22 amI was just talking to somebody and they told me males are unfairly paid more for same job in US compared to females, is this true or socialist propaganda? I don't believe it. What's your source. If you just aggregate the data, maybe men get paid more.traveller wrote: ↑April 29th, 2023, 10:31 amIn Illinois, women in fact earn 71 cents for every 1 dollar a man earns, at the exact same job, too.Moretorque wrote: ↑October 22nd, 2014, 11:22 amI was just talking to somebody and they told me males are unfairly paid more for same job in US compared to females, is this true or socialist propaganda? But if you do a multivariate analysis and account for:
- women dropping out of the workforce and going back in (not getting seniority)
- working more hours
- premium for more difficult jobs
then from what I've heard from experts who study this kind of data, there might be a couple of percentage points differences in the salaries earned.
Women tend to be the teachers and social workers-- lower paying professions. Nursing is another predominantly female profession, but that one pays reasonably well. There are other medical fields where women are paid well.

He is full of it, women require way more benefits than men and cost them more in general to operate on the job front and create more problems and are less productive because of this. I found the information I was looking for and in most cases men are a door mat and to be disposed of when used up.MrMan wrote: ↑April 29th, 2023, 8:47 pmI don't believe it. What's your source. I'm not sure about the rest of it, but I would be curious to know how much hiring women costs companies because of maternity leave.Moretorque wrote: ↑April 29th, 2023, 9:45 pmHe is full of it, women require way more benefits than men and cost them more in general to operate on the job front and create more problems and are less productive because of this. That's it, women cost more medically and time off and that is why they are less productive. Men are more durable in most situations.MrMan wrote: ↑April 30th, 2023, 2:04 pmI'm not sure about the rest of it, but I would be curious to know how much hiring women costs companies because of maternity leave.Moretorque wrote: ↑April 29th, 2023, 9:45 pmHe is full of it, women require way more benefits than men and cost them more in general to operate on the job front and create more problems and are less productive because of this.
