Even though these were the first websites which informed me of the possibility of finding decent women in other countries, as well as the negative aspects of American feminism and divorce, I'm reluctant to show them to others. Especially in regards to the americanwomensuck website, the overly Conservative, homophobic bent probably turns away many from examining their other points.

I tend to agree. While the author of the website appears somewhat erudite and makes a few elegant points with shame, there does seem to be a vein of bigotry and blind conservatism running through it. More than one divorced intellectual is oblivious to their own blind spots.

Take what you can use, and leave the rest.

True, the owner of http://www.americanwomensuck.com banned me when I criticized fundamentalist Christianity. Before that we were on good terms and put up my photojournals on his site. And now he is charging people $50 to be a member of his forum! Go figure.
