Love and Butterflies

This morning, I was thinking about something that my mentor told me several months back: "Love is like a butterfly-- don't chase it! Don't look for it-- it will find you and land on your shoulder." (That is nothing more than a myth; a fairy-tale.) I was thinking about it this morning and I realized that that was bullshit. Instinctively, I had always known this, but this morning, the realization hit me like a ton of bricks. The reason being is this: Finding love is like finding a job. If love is really like a butterfly, you can't just sit there and expect it to come to you! What you have to do, if you want it, is to lace up your boots, grab that (butterfly) net, AND GO OUT AND GET THAT motherf***er (excuse my Swahili)! After all, did Bill Gates become the richest man in the world by sitting on his can and waiting for that butterfly to land on his shoulder (his extreme wealth)? Did Mark E. Davis sit on his ass and wait for that butterfly to land on his shoulder (his lovely Ukrainian wife, Anna)?!
