I am pretty much a Loner, Social Outcast in America. I am sure most of the people in this site are one. I am a social outcast not because I am some kind of irredeemable criminal scum or terrorist, but because I am a friendly, level headed, authentic, honest, intelligent, kind person who makes decent money. I am not that short either. I am 6ft tall and have square jawline face. I don't look like a mutant or look like one of those asian stereotypes. All I have left is a small group of friends from high school, a few of them åre religious and sporty types, a few are loners like me. I tried the best ways I knew how to become a normie in my 20s, but it didn't work out.

I'm a white guy, but I grew up in a small town in the Rust Belt with a religiously nutty childhood and no father around, I didn't realize how socially outmatched I was going to be every step of the way going to college then moving to a bigger city and entering corporate America. My best shot would have been to become a sports fan or a stoner and connect with some people on that dimension, but I was too naive or free-thinking I guess.

Yes.. the Chinese are standing strong and not taking any BS from the West. Perhaps because they grew really powerful for the past few decades or so. They don't want to repeat their time in being humiliated by The Western powers during the Qing Dynasty. Plus China manufactures almost everything at the world needs, it is the west who needs to kowtow to China. China has over a hundred nukes and a numerous army.

I think the reason some Asian countries are imitating the west is that they are in west's sphere of influence.
For South Korea, it is still America's "Peripheral colony" from the beginning of the end of Korean World in 1953. Still today, over 30,000 American troops are deployed near Seoul. In addition America doesn't allow South Korea to make Nuclear Weapons and South Korean government have aided the U.S military in Vietnam War and even in War in Iraq. They sent over tens and thousands of men in both of those wars to fight for America.

Similar situation for Japan. In the end of WW2, General Mc arthur drafted a new constitution for post war japan. In that constitution, under Article 9, Japan can't create an military. The only military they can have is a self defense force which can't do offensive military operations. This similar to U.S national guard level. America also has a base in Okinawa. America already castrated Japanese power at the end of World War 2.
Japan also can't make nuclear weapons just like South Korea.

Most modern Japanese people are like NPCs who just robotically follow whatever society deems correct. East Asian cities are not even beautiful like many European cities are. They're mostly just ugly depressing concrete jungles where everything almost looks the same everywhere. As for the people, most of them are not really nice or friendly. All of that bowing and outward politeness are just a front which is expected of them in order to maintain the perception of social harmony. Naïve Westerners mistake this behavior for genuine friendliness. The only things that are awesome about Japan are the food, the onsens (heated springs) where you can bathe stark naked and relax like no other with your tallywhacker out, and the charming temples and other feats of traditional Japanese architecture in the countryside. Everything else is just so overrated as hell and I'd genuinely prefer most places in the Europe to anywhere in East Asia.

You nailed it. I am South Korean myself, and I found East Asian cities really depressing and dystopian. Rows of "Soviet" styled flats littered across the city, most of the buildings are the same drab concrete & glass and there are some shanty towns behind the cityscape. The people are just as cold, selfish, close minded, cliquish similar to people in the UK or the US with an added bonus of being really aggressive, confrontational, and impatient. Totally a match made in Hell. I don't understand why those F*cking koreaboos like Seoul anyway. At least the Japanese act polite and avoid confrontations, South Koreans enjoy fighting and causing lots of drama with other people and you should see how Koreans drive in traffic. Two guys stop their cars at the side of the road to get into shouting matches and then a fist fight. I am Korean and sometimes, Koreans need to chill out.

I heard many positive things about South East Asia. Thailand is nice, and Winston said Philippine has some friendly people who doesn't judge.
However, their infrastructure is not good... Philippinos also have some laid back Spanish/latino mentality.

I couldn't stand filipinos "i'm always happy" mentality. They seemed so fake to me because of that. They also hate it when anyone criticize their country for any reason even if you have valid reasons for it. As for Koreans, people are only obsessed with them because of that K-Drama and K-Pop shit. They are what Japan was years ago when everyone was crazy about Anime. Now it's K-Dramas and K-pop music.

K-Dramas are so ridiculously corny and overly emotional, with the dramatic music, the slow-motion-coming-down-the-stairs and all the hair flipping and endless stolen glances... it's like American romcoms on steroids. It's literally the biggest garbage ever. Funnily enough however, I quite enjoyed the "Squid Game" show. Probably because it has an actual story and its gritty and depressing and actually criticises modern-day Korea and its cruel consumerism. The regular shows like that "Boys over flowers" shit girls went crazy about a decade ago, it's absolute trash. Like, laughably bad lol. And the music too. I mean sure some of it may sound catchy if you're a teenage girl but I roll my eyes, hard, at anyone past the age of twenty who's into that crap lol.

That's why I don't watch. Both are garbage and derivatives of American early 2000's pop music and old romcom sit-coms.
